Service history and disposition[]
The free starshipEnterprise was awarship affiliated with theTerran Rebellion until the creation of theGalactic Commonwealth. Built byMemory Omega, theEnterprise was placed under thecommand ofJean-Luc Picard after being closely watched bySaavik. Designwise theEnterprise was constructed and designed in a similar manner to the vessels of theTerran Empire, only sleeker giving the vessel a faster and more aggressive look, including a ring shaped secondary hull - features shared by its sister shipsCourageous andIntrepid. Among the many advancements installed on the ship was an advanced propulsion drive that created anartificial wormhole for travel over long distances known as ajaunt drive. In theyear2378, theEnterprise was involved in several attacks against theKlingon-Cardassian Alliance in an effort to create arevolution that would lead to the destruction of the Alliance and the ascendancy of the Rebellion back into agalactic power. TheEnterprise led several strikes againstoutposts belonging to both theKlingons and theCardassians. Following the successful revolution, the Rebellion jaunt ships formed the basis of Commonwealth Starfleet. (ST -Mirror Universenovel:Rise Like Lions)
In2386, theEnterprise was selected as the Galactic Commonwealth'sflagship for negotiations with theDominion atBajor. During the mission the ship was visited bySection 31agents from theprimary universe who were on a mission to steal Memory Omegatechnology for use by the agency. TheEnterprise played host to the Section 31 team and provided them with accommodations after they had been rescued from thefree starshipShiKahr by a strike team lead byEnterpriseXOK'Ehleyr. The starship also became an unwilling participant in the trial ofJulian Bashir for the death ofOdo and was instrumental in preventingBreen Confederacycommandos from acquiring theShiKahr. By chasing down theShiKahr and inflicting serious damage on it while Bashir andSarina Douglas went aboard and disabled critical systems, they caused the ship to be destroyed as it returned to the primary universe via an unstable artificialwormhole. In2387, theEnterprise led afleet of jaunt ships into the primary universe in a desperate attempt to stop theDevidians from devouring the entiremultiverse. TheEnterprise was destroyed atOblivion's Gate. The First Splinter reality and its offshoot timelines, including the Commonwealth's mirror universe, were erased from existence.
