In2377, theCourageous was part of the fleet ofjaunt ships -battleships with an in-builtwormhole generator -Memory Omega built atErebus Station, beyond the rim of theMilky Way Galaxy. These ships were given toTerran Rebellion personnel after they had received training on the station.
Battle of Andoria[]
In theyear2378, theCourageous and theIntrepid were part of the fleet led byCaptainJean-Luc Picard aboard the free starshipEnterprise that liberatedAndoria from the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. The fleet left nothing but hulks of theKlingon andCardassian battleships. Following the battle, Picard had theIntrepid open an artificialwormhole to return the fleet to Erebus. TheCourageous relayed a signal from Erebus Station toGeneralMiles O'Brien and Captains Picard andMackenzie Calhoun.DirectorSaavik informed them that minutes before it had been learned that the KCA were enroute to destroy theBajoran system. TheCourageous subsequently joined the fleet that jaunted toBajor to prevent theIKSYa'Vang from detonatingB'hava'el with atrilithium warhead.
