Biography[]
He participated in a botched smuggling operation with aFerengi associate, where he lost his vessel. He ended up toDeep Space 9 in theyear2370 order to get another job, and therefore buy a new ship.
During a meeting between theKlingon Empire and theUnited Federation of Planets, he was residing on thespace stationDeep Space 9. He was tasked bydRacLa to assassinateGowron, promised a rich reward. In the upperPromenade he met aKlingon contact — who recognised him as "Kathpa" from his stench — who paid him in advance, warning him that should he fail his job, he would be dead. They didn't know thatOdo spied their meeting, having transformed as a blot on the column.
The second day of the meeting, he enteredQuark's and sat on the same table whereGowron andEdward Jellico were sitting with their companions the previous night, knowing that they were to renew their meeting.Quark briefly complained about his customer needing a bathing, but ran away to fetch hisRomulan ale after Conpap growled at him. Well aware that some of the patrons could besecurity officers (William T. Riker andJadzia Dax had a relaxing dinner), he pretended to drink, while installing a smallbomb under the table.
He just started for the exit when he saw it blocked by Odo and four security officers. He froze and nervously looked for another exit; he darted to the left, but that time he bumped into aKlingon customer who was just standing up from the center table; the warrior, instinctivelly pushed him back, and accidentally Conpap triggered the bomb; he was killed, injuring Riker and Dax and some of the Klingons, destroying the back half of Quark's. dRacLa then reported the failure toLursa andB'Etor.
