• This duology introduces several major new characters toDS9-Elias Vaughn,Prynn Tenmei,Shar andTaran'atar - as well as bringingRo Laren fromTNG intoDS9. The books also establish a number of key supporting characters;Yevir Linjarin andSam Bowers, andSimon Tarses fromTNG episode "The Drumhead".
