Yadalla Prime was theprimeplanet in theYadallasystem. This planet was withinSector 2158 of theBeta Quadrant. It was located near theRomulan Neutral Zone.

Yadalla Prime was thelocation of aRomulanarchaeological site suggested as a possible raiding target for a band ofmercenaries working forArctus Baran in2370.Starfleet Command anticipated that Baran might attack this planet so aFederationstarship was sent there to intercept his ship. This planet's quadrant of origin is inferred based on the position of its star system as seen in thestar chart appearing in theStar Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".

According to thescript for "Gambit, Part I", the pronunciation for Yadalla was "yuh-DOLL-uh".[1]

Yadalla Prime was calledYonada Prime in early drafts of "Gambit", a reference to the worldshipYonada from theStar Trek: The Original Series episode "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky". Thename was changed in later versions of the script due to the need for Romulan origins for the planet. (Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion, 2nd ed., p. 267) The original name was retained in anokudagram seen on thebridge of theUSSEnterprise-D. This graphic was put up for auction in 2018.[2]
