During theWhale Probe crisis of2286, aStarfleet Command Table Operator reported that they were updating graphics from Rigel V. The line mentioning this location was scripted forStar Trek IV: The Voyage Home but was ultimately unused in thatfilm.[1]
In theStar Trek: Star Charts (pp. 52, 59, "United Federation of Planets I"), Rigel V, also known as Beta Rigel V, was anM-class planet.
