Ferengi Benevolent Association

TheFerengi Benevolent Association was a charitable organization formed byGrand NagusZek in2371. Zek funded thecharity with his own personalfortune.

Quark's quarters onDeep Space 9 were the Association's headquarters for thesector.Rom was made the Association'ssenior administrator. One act he performed in this capacity was to order a relief shipment sent byhigh warp courier, an expensive proposition. It was later revealed that Zek had met with theProphets, who had reverted him to be a less financially drivenFerengi. Zek was later restored to normal and the Association was dissolved, with Rom amassing a small fortune, thanks to hisembezzlement of some of its finances. (DS9: "Prophet Motive")
