Dennis C. Ott (13 June1958–3 November1994; age 36) was an actor and stuntman who appeared in twoStar Trek films.
Ott's firstStar Trek film appearance wasStar Trek III: The Search for Spock, in which he played aKlingon, while his second was as analien inStar Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. According to Ott, who stood 6'11" (2.1 m), his proudest moment was when actorWilliam Shatner told him: "You're one of the tall people in this town who can actually act." He appeared in several movies, mostly in bit parts. Because of his height of 6'11" he is easy to spot in productions in which he had performed. After discovering he had AIDS in 1990, Ott spent the last four years of his life speaking as an activist about the disease, before succumbing to it in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1994.[1]
