TheBolian sector was aregion ofspace in theAlpha Quadrant, where theBolianhomeworld,Bolarus IX, was located.
Riley Frazier toldChakotay that she had been on astarship in thissector, when hership had been attacked by an unknownspecies, which then put thecrew intostasis and transported them to theDelta Quadrant. However, in fact Frazier had beenassimilated at theBattle of Wolf 359, but she didn't want Chakotay to know she had been aBorg. (VOY: "Unity")
In theSpecies 8472 recreation ofEarth, onTerrasphere 8,AdmiralBullock assigned the newofficersYoung andReiskin toOrbital Flight Control where they would be monitoring incoming vessels from the Bolian sector. (VOY: "In the Flesh")
According to theStar Trek: Star Charts (p. 66), this sector was named the Bolarus sector. A portion of theRomulan Neutral Zone passed through this sector. A network of outposts, codenamed Tango, were located in this sector. These outposts monitored the Neutral Zone.
