Paul Donald "Big Show" Wight II, (born8 February1972; age 53), is a professional wrestler who appeared in theStar Trek: Enterprisefourth season episode "Borderland" as anOrionslave-trader. He is the third WWE superstar to appear onStar Trek, afterThe Rock andTommy 'Tiny' Lister, Jr., and the second to appear onEnterprise, after Lister.
As a wrestler, Big Show has worked forWorld Championship Wrestling and all three brands ofWorld Wrestling Entertainment (Raw,Smackdown and the now-defunctECW). At the time of "Borderland" 's production, he principally performed on theSmackdown brand, whose weekly television show was onUPN, the same network asEnterprise.
Standing at 7' 4" (224 cm) and weighing 550 pounds (250 kg), he very aptly fit his first wrestling pseudonym, "The Giant". On 17 February 2008, Big Show made his return to the WWE at the company's "No Way Out" pay-per-view event. He lost 108 lbs (49 kg) and weighed less than he did when he left in February 2007.
As of 2021, Big Show (under his real name, Paul Wight) performs for theAll Elite Wrestling organization as a part-time wrestler and color commentator.
As an actor, the Big Show has appeared in the television showsPlayer$ andOne on One, plus the filmsThe Waterboy andJingle all The Way. Wight would go on to star in the filmKnucklehead and in his own Netflix comedy seriesThe Big Show Show.
