Alina Andrei
Alina Andrei (born25 March1978; age 47) is a stuntwoman and actress who portrayed aSphere-Builder in theStar Trek: Enterprisethird season episode "Zero Hour". As a stunt actress, she received no credit for her appearance and the part where her character was electrocuted wascut out from the episode.
Born in Brașov, Transylvania, Romania, Andrei immigrated into the United States in 1983. Andrei studied acting under Barbara Benville andDoug Warhit and several stunt techniques under coaches such as Simon Rhee,Gene LeBell, Bob Yerkes and Tad Griffith. She is skilled in martial arts, European, Italian and Asian sword techniques, stunt fights and falls, and horseback riding and is also working as a sword fighting choreographer and instructor.
Beside her work on-screen, Andrei is producing, writing, and creating projects, such as the award winning short filmLa Fleur De La Bataille, the television pilotOmega 1, the direct to DVD seriesSuper Swordfighting Series, and the action dramaThe Spirit Within.
Among her performances in film and television are acting and stunt acting parts in the short science fiction horror thrillerCallous Sentiment (2002), the fantasy filmThe Dream of Alvareen (2004, withJenna Z. Wilson), the action short filmThe Crusader (2005), for which she also choreographed the sword fights, the thrillerStranger in the Doorway (2005),Dead and Deader (2006, withJohn Billingsley,Armin Shimerman,Mark A. Altman andDouglas Tait), andTransformers (2007), as well asLAX (2004, withBonita Friedericy),Charmed (2005, withJennifer Tung,David Figlioli,Scott Allen Rinker andAnthony Molinari), andJustice (2006, starringVictor Garber, withJames MacDonald andCarlos LaCamara).
Andrei served in several productions as stunt double for actresses, includingNoa Tishby inCSI: NY 2005), inCharmed (2006), in the television thrillerCompany Man (2007, alongside stuntmenKevin Derr,Mike Gunther,Oliver Keller,Henry Kingi, Jr.,Paul Lacovara,Tim Sitarz andJustin Sundquist), in three episodes ofDay Break (2006-07, with stunts byScott Workman andBoni Yanagisawa), inNCIS (2007, under stunt coordinatorDiamond Farnsworth), inCSI: Miami (2007, alongHugh Aodh O'Brien), inPassions (2007), and for Jennifer Carpenter in several episodes ofDexter (2006-07, withPanuvat Anthony Nanakornpanom,Mark Muñoz,Shawn Crowder andScott Leva).
She also worked as motion capture performer for the video gamesGolden Axe (2007),Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (2008), andHalo Wars (2008).
