Energen Crystal Stage,[1] also known asCrystal Mine Stage (水晶鉱脈ステージ,Crystal Mine Stage),[2] isCrystal Snail's stage fromMega Man X2. It is a mine stage, but unlikeArmored Armadillo's andTunnel Rhino's, it is laced with crystals and gemstones of all shapes and sizes. It is used for miningEnergy Crystals, but Crystal Snail has it underMaverick control.
Description[]

This stage is very similar to an ice stage, due to having slippery slopes and cramped spaces. There is aRabbit Ride Armor present, which is useful for destroying crystal obstructions and can be used for a large portion of the stage if one is careful. There are also occasionally giant blocks of crystal that will slide down slopes, threatening to crushX. The X-Hunter room can be found by doubling back in the first sloped tunnel, revealing a vertical room with floating platforms that can be climbed to find the door.

Upon acquiring the Ride Armor, turn left to descend a hole in the slope. There is a large pit; dash jump and hover with the Ride Armor, then leap from it at the last second to grab the distant ledge with the Life Up. It is preferable to hover repeatedly for short intervals rather than hovering for as long as possible.Strike Chain can also be used to pull X onto the ledge. | |
