National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH) and National Survey of Children with Special Health Care Needs Chartbooks
Funded and directed by MCHB, the National Survey of Children’s Health and the National Survey of Children with Special Health Care Needs were conducted every four years before 2016. In 2016, we combined the two surveys into a single, redesigned survey (retaining the name National Survey on Children’s Health). Now, the survey providesannual data on multiple aspects of children’s lives – including:
- Physical and mental health
- Access to quality health care
- The child’s family, neighborhood, school, and social circumstances
