Notes
- According to this story, Firebird sensed that the six other Rangers had all been possessed but later realized that one of them, Shooting Star, was a true demon who had possessed the other five. After being forced to surrender by Firebird, "Shooting Star" reverted to his demonic form and, when Firebird demanded to know where the real Shooting Star was, the demon claimed that he was the real Shooting Star and always had been. However, by the time Texas Twister returned to Avengers Compound to confront the captive demon inSolo Avengers #18, he and Hawkeye (and presumably everybody else) knew that the other Rangers had been under a mystical spell when they battled the Avengers (and therefore had not been possessed) and that Shooting Star was a real human being who was missing after having been replaced by the demon.
- The spirit ofLincoln Slade existed within the body of his great-great grandsonHamilton Slade from the night that Hamilton found Lincoln's burial urn inGhost Rider (Vol. 2) #56 to when he was exorcised byDaimon Hellstrom inWest Coast Avengers (Vol. 2) #41. Prior to that exorcism, Hamilton had had no idea that the strange blackouts he had been experiencing had been due to Lincoln taking control of his body and going into action as the Phantom Rider.
- At the time of that exorcism, Hamilton's body was also inhabited by the spirit ofCarter Slade, the original Phantom Rider, who had been trying to end his insane brother's evil influence over Hamilton. However, it's unclear when Carter began residing in Hamilton's body.
- In this story, Red Wolf announces that the Night Rider has readopted the name Ghost Rider. The change doesn't stick.
