Thor grew up as an orphan alongside his brother Loki inNew York City in an universe similar toEarth-90214.
Due to all the corruption in his universe, and the circumstances of his life Thor grew up as a bitter person who decided he would get rid of all the crime in his city.
One daythe Maestro, an Hulk from an alternate reality, came to his reality and conquered it, he then tricked Thor into believing he did it for good reasons, he also convinced Thor to join him in his conquering ofEarth-61284 by telling Thor theAvengers of that reality were evil and were abusing their powers.
At the Avengers Academy Thor met his alternatecounterpart and his family who tried to convince him they weren't evil, and Maestro was the actual threat, after seeing Maestro's actions and from his own interactions with the Avengers, he was finally convinced he was on the wrong side and left Maestro for the Avengers.[1]
