Mackenzi Lee has a Bachelors of Arts in History, and a Master of Fine Arts from Simmons College in writing for children and young adults.

Lee has a three-book contract with Marvel to write young adult novels featuring Marvel antiheroes. The first novel,Loki: Where Mischief Lies, was published September 3, 2019. The second novel,Gamora & Nebula: Sisters in Arms, was published June 1, 2021. The third novel,The Winter Soldier: Cold Front was published February 7, 2023.
