Professional History

Jonathan Hickman is currently working onUltimate Spider-Man (Vol. 3).

Hickman was the runner-up in the first Comic Book Idol competition and went on to draw and write a number of series.

He is the creator of The Nightly News, published under Image, and has also worked on Marvel's Legion of Monsters, on the story N'Kantu, the Living Mummy: MustDie/EatSoul.

He has also designed covers for Virgin Comics, most significantly Andy Diggle's Guy Ritchie's Gamekeeper and Garth Ennis' Seven Brothers. He also wrote "The Core" for Top Cow's Pilot Season in 2008.

He has collaborated withBrian Michael Bendis and editorTom Brevoort on a new Marvel ongoing series, entitledSecret Warriors. It follows Nick Fury and a group of superpowered operatives as they undertake espionage operations in the wake of Secret Invasion.Stefano Caselli will be the artist; and also collaborated with artistsDale Eaglesham andSteve Epting onFantastic Four and withSean Chen on the limited seriesDark Reign: Fantastic Four.

Hickman's work onFantastic Four,S.H.I.E.L.D. andSecret Warriors has garnered him immense praise and is now considered one of the best and most unique writers in the industry.

Upon endingFantastic Four series with issue #588, Jonathan Hickman and Steve Epting launched the new series called "FF" or Future Foundation which sees the remaining Fantastic Four team members expand their roster to include Spider-Man, among others.
