The early life and history of Howard the Duck presumably mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart.
Following the mutation of humanity, a series of political and economic upheavals sent the Earth into a state of chaos. Among these problems was a global food shortage due to massive consumptions of living animals on land. According toBeast, the appetites of the population were also affected and Howard was apparently in constant danger of being eaten by the mutated population.[1]
When theSkull claimed New York as his own, Howard was killed and became a feast at the Skull's celebration.[citation needed]
It is presumed that Howard currently resides in the Realm of the Dead, as he was not seen in Mar-Vell's Paradise following these events.[citation needed]
