Deadpool is a master swordsman who frequently uses katana blades in combat. Although they are not unique items, and have been replaced many times in the past, Deadpool has a keen eye for metalwork and uses high-quality katana when he can afford it.^[3] Many of his katanas are a set of sharpened swords composed of steel, while some are merely composed of carbon.^[4] At least one set of katana can be charged with an energy field through his suit, increasing their durability and increasing cutting power to the point that they can easily cut through objects as hard as diamond^[5]. Due to his extensive training in martial arts, Wade Wilson mastered kenjutsu at a level beyond that of the finesthuman athlete.^[6]
