"Could-Be-We" was one of the archetypal beings from theFourth Cosmos who formed the templates ofheroes andvillains seen infuture iterations of theMultiverse, notably theSeventh/Eighth Cosmos. When the Fourth Cosmos was visited by theDefenders, he was seen fighting during the battle between the forces ofOf-Past andOf-Future. He then joined with the other archetypes to fightCarlo Zota andWhat-Must-Be. Following the Fourth Cosmos' end, the archetypes joined with the Sentience of the Fourth Cosmos, later known as theQueen of Nevers, in exploring theMystery.^[2][3]
