History
Early Life[]

Dr. Calvin Zabo
Dr. Calvin Zabo was born and raised inTrenton,New Jersey[9], eventually earning advanced degrees in both medicine and biochemistry. A talented medical research scientist, Zabo developed a notorious reputation for being unable to hold down employment, having been dismissed from every position he held. From an early age, Zabo became obsessed withRobert Louis Stevenson's 1886 classic,Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He believed that humanity's true potential could be unlocked by chemically unleashing its primal instincts. This fixation led him to pursue dangerous avenues of experimentation aimed at transforming himself into a being of enhanced strength and savagery.[10] During his career, Zabo began researching cellular regeneration at the molecular level. He collaborated withDr. Michael Morbius, theNobel Prize winning biochemist. At one point, Zabo revealed his hidden New York City laboratory to Morbius, openly flaunting the illegal nature of his work.[11]

Creating the Hyde Formula.
Eventually, Zabo began using himself as a test subject, experimenting with genome modification in an effort to perfect his transformation serum.[12] During this period, he had a relationship with a woman namedJennifer Johnson, a prostitute who later gave birth to his daughter,Daisy Johnson. Unbeknownst to either parent at the time, Jennifer carried latentInhumanDNA, which, when combined with Zabo's altered genome, resulted in Daisy being born with the potential for superhuman powers. Placed in foster care as a child, Daisy eventually emerged as the seismic-powered agent known asQuake.[12][13]
Becoming Mister Hyde[]
Over several months, Zabo refined theHyde Formula, ultimately drinking the he drank the concoction and underwent a grotesque transformation into a monstrous version of himself. Now possessing the strength of twelve men and even altered fingerprints, he adopted the nameMr. Hyde. Zabo plotted to commit crimes and revert to his human form before he could be identified. Seeking revenge onDr. Donald Blake, Hyde tracked him after witnessingThor leave New York. He stormed into Blake’s office and demandedJane Foster reveal Blake’s location. When she refused, Hyde smashed into Blake's private room and knocked him out a window unaware Blake had grabbed his cane to secretly become Thor. After raiding Blake’s safe, Hyde returned to his hideout, later enraged to hear Thor had rescued Blake. Vowing to destroy Thor, Hyde disguised himself as the Thunder God the next day and robbed a bank, crushing a guard’s gun and turning public opinion against the real Thor.[14] Hyde then followed Blake and Foster to the Ritz Terrace, abducting them at gunpoint. He ranted that he hated Blake for being honest and virtuous, in contrast to his own embodiment of mankind's darker nature. Taking them to his castle lair, he tied Blake to a post and set a 24-hour time bomb. He forced Foster to accompany him to the East River Naval Yard to steal a Polaris Submarine, planning to become "king of the seas" with her as his queen. After overpowering the guards, Hyde prepared to board the vessel when Thor attacked. Though Hyde briefly restrained him with twisted metal, Thor broke free and hurled him aside. Hyde retrieved a handgun, but Thor disarmed him by spinning his cape to create a mini tornado. As Foster pleaded for Blake's safety, Hyde took advantage of the distraction to leap into the river and escape.[15]
Partnership with Cobra[]
Over the following weeks, Hyde refined his formula and invented aTime Reversal Ray capable of replaying a target’s recent actions in reverse. While mixing chemicals in hisManhattan apartment, Zabo was ambushed by theCobra, but quickly transformed into Hyde and overpowered him, shrugging off Cobra's gas attacks. Realizing they shared a common enemy in Thor, the two villains joined forces. Hyde demonstrated the Ray, and they devised a plan to use it on Thor to locate his base. Hyde staged a robbery to lure Thor, briefly blinding him with chemical sprays before escaping. Cobra then struck Thor with the Ray and traced the reversed images to Dr. Donald Blake’s office window. Frustrated the Ray didn't reveal more, they confronted Blake and demanded answers. When Jane told them to tap Blake's cane against the window, Blake used the distraction to transform into Thor. The cane becameMjolnir, dragging Hyde to the floor.[16] As Thor attacked, Cobra fled up the building while Hyde escaped to a junkyard, using a signal device to try to pull Mjolnir away. He fled into a nearby coliseum during a machinery expo and hurled heavy equipment at Thor. Cobra trapped Mjolnir using a hydraulic hoist. Thor tore up the floor to disrupt them, then vanished into the crowd. Furious, Hyde threatened civilians over a microphone unless Thor reappeared. Blake returned and offered to reveal Thor's location if Hyde retrieved his cane. When Cobra failed, Hyde smashed the machine and got the cane himself. Blake fled and returned as Thor. Hyde used a massive sprayer to knock Thor off balance, but the hero threw Cobra into Hyde. With police closing in, Hyde reverted to Zabo and escaped, while Cobra was captured.[17] Zabo later tracked Thor, transformed into Hyde again, and attacked, knocking Mjolnir aside with a lamppost. However, Thor easily overwhelmed him, dodging his blows and knocking him out in under a minute. Hyde was arrested.[18]
Sometime later,Loki paid half a million dollars in bail to free Hyde and Cobra. Though suspicious, they accepted his offer of alliance after Loki magically enhanced their powers. Ordered to kidnap Jane, Hyde knocked aside a car while Cobra snatched Foster through a window. Thor arrived immediately, but the villains escaped, demanding Thor meet them in 24 hours. Thor tracked them to their booby trapped hideout, where Hyde and Cobra ambushed him with gas, spiked walls, and explosions. Though Thor was briefly buried in rubble, he escaped and tended to an injured Foster.[19] Hyde and Cobra pursued Thor to Foster's hospital room, launching a savage attack. Thor quickly fought them off and fled with Foster to keep her safe. The villains tracked him again, but their teamwork failed. Cobra accidentally hurled Hyde into Thor's fist, and as Cobra fled, Hyde attacked once more. However, Cobra's own gas affected Hyde, forcing him to retreat. When Thor pursued, Hyde attempted to throw the hero into a powerful energy ray, but Thor reversed the tactic, forcing Hyde into the beam and knocking him unconscious.[20]
Fantastic Four Wedding[]
While under the influence ofDoctor Doom’sEmotion Charger, Hyde joined a horde of supervillains who attacked the wedding ofMr. Fantastic andthe Invisible Girl. During the chaos, Hyde attempted to intervene in a fight betweenCaptain America and theExecutioner andEnchantress, but was incapacitated whenHawkeye pinned his hands to a wall with a lock-arrow. Hyde broke free and escaped.[21]
Battling Daredevil[]
Later, while imprisoned, Hyde was secretly supplied with his chemical formula by the Cobra, enabling his escape. The two resumed their crime spree, robbing a bank with Hyde punching through a wall to access the vault. As they continued their rampage, the pair argued constantly over who was more powerful. When they spotted Thor speaking withDaredevil, they assumed Daredevil might become a future threat and decided to eliminate him pre-emptively. Daredevil outmanoeuvred them, but Hyde lured Cobra back to his lab where he prepared a chemical agent to use on the hero. During their next encounter, Cobra ensnared Daredevil while Hyde threw a chemical bomb at him, which blinded the hero's radar senses. Believing Daredevil truly blind and helpless, the villains fled as police arrived.[22] As police seized Hyde's lab, the two criminals planned another robbery, still bickering over their methods. After a successful heist, they spotted Daredevil performing on a high wire and assumed he had regained his sight. Pursued by police, Cobra shadowed Daredevil and confirmed he was still blind.[23] Cobra captured Daredevil and delivered him to Hyde. The two transported him by boat to a lighthouse lair in New England, intending to torment and kill him. Still blind, Daredevil managed to disable the generator, plunging the hideout into darkness. Hyde retrieved the antidote to ensure Daredevil couldn't recover his powers, but during the fight, Hyde was accidentally struck by Cobra. The two villains began fighting each other, and the antidote was knocked away. Cobra found it, but Hyde punched him to seize it. The vial flew out of Hyde's hands, allowing Daredevil to recover it and restore his radar senses. He quickly defeated Cobra, but Hyde escaped.[24]
Alliance with Jester[]
Hyde later broke Cobra out of prison, recruiting him for another scheme alongsideJester. The trio robbed the Guggenheim Museum, stealing valuable items from an exhibit of rare toys and knocking out a guard in the process. They fled as the police arrived, still arguing over who was superior. Seeking a trap for Daredevil, the villains traveled to New Jersey and rented a carnival from ownerLemuel Frye, promising payment if he lured the hero to them. That night, as Daredevil arrived with Frye, the villains sprang their trap. Cobra entangled Daredevil in a parachute, and Hyde attempted to pummel him, but the hero escaped and lured them into a house of mirrors. WhenKaren Page arrived with the police, the trio reluctantly surrendered.[25]
Teaming with the Cobra again, Hyde attempted to acquireCagliostro's serum.[26] While serving in prison following this failed attempt, Hyde was ensnared by the mind control power of thePurple Man, and forced to battle Daredevil in an arena alongside Cobra, the Jester, and the Gladiator.[27]
Eventually, tiring of their repeated failures, the Cobra elected to sever their partnership. He escaped fromRyker's Island, taking the time to taunt Hyde before leaving. Hyde never forgave him for the slight.[28]
Revenge[]
Teaming withBatroc, Hyde blackmailed New York City with a hijacked super-tanker. Hyde attempted to destroy the entire city in order to kill Cobra. Eventually, he was defeated by Captain America with Batroc's aid.[29]
Hyde then stalked Cobra seeking revenge, and this time battled Spider-Man.[30]
He was imprisoned again but escaped Ryker's Island, and stalked Cobra again, and battled Spider-Man and theBlack Cat.[31]
Choosing to Be Human?[]
In the Financial District, Mr. Hyde battered several policemen and stole money from an armored car. The police pursued him; and Hyde prepared to take a potion and revert back to his less identifiable alter ego. However, the serum does not affect him. However, Hyde still escaped and made his way back to his Chinatown lab. Daredevil decided to find Hyde. He used his senses to smell Hyde and the chemicals from his lab. At Hyde's lab, the criminal finally found a serum to revert him to his human self. However, it will make him human forever. The effects of the serum would be irreversible. Hyde decided to become human forever. At that moment, Daredevil crashed into the lab and startled Hyde. Hyde did not take the serum and noted that he, now, does not want to become human. His past superhero pursuers would find him, and as he would be a weak human, he could no longer defend himself. The two battle and Daredevil eventually lures him to subway station. He is able to use his billy club to electrocute Hyde on one of the rails. Hyde is rendered unconscious and the police arrest the villain.[32]
Under Siege[]
Hyde later became a member of the fourth incarnation of theMasters of Evil. With the Masters of Evil, Hyde invadedAvengers Mansion. He torturedBlack Knight andEdwin Jarvis. Working withGoliath and theWrecking Crew, he nearly killedHercules, but was defeated by theAvengers.[33]
The Vault[]
Hyde later attempted an escape from the Vault alongsideTitania,Vibro, theGriffin, andArmadillo. He was defeated and recaptured by the Captain.[34][35]
He later eventually escaped from the Vault alongside theWizard and others. Hyde was later defeated in combat by the Cobra.[36]
Hulk[]
Mr. Hyde attackedDr. Bruce Banner on a moving train. Mr Hyde destroyed the roof allowing sun to flood the room and causing Hulk discomfort as he leaped to the roof, with Hulk pulling him through and the two beginning a brawl in the car. Hulk then threw Hyde from the train who grabbed the caboose as he fell forcing the Hulk to catch and save it, and after Hyde fell he managed to pull the car back up, but falls to the river below.[3] After his escaped he went to Canada and battledAlpha Flight.[37]
At the wedding ofRick Jones andMarlo Chandler with a number of unexpected guests show up including Mr. Hyde. He received head trauma that limited his ability to transform.[38]
Jack Flag[]
Jack Flag was offered a chance to join theSerpent Society by stealing a painting from an old partner. He agreed and broke into the mansion. Only to be confronted by Mr. Hyde. After getting soaked in chemicals containing theHyde Formula. Jack discovered he is strong enough and took down Mr. Hyde.[39]
Mr. Hyde attended the wedding ofAbsorbing Man and Titania.[40]
Defended by Matt Murdock[]
Mr. Hyde battled Daredevil again, he was defeated and arrested. However it is revealed that Matt Murdock himself would have to defend him. After a battle withPyro where he learns that Hyde is innocent of the crime, Matt agreed to take the case. Matt and Foggy began to prepare their defense of Mr. Hyde. Matt Murdock was supposed to be in court defending Mr. Hyde but was captured by theEnforcers. Daredevil escaped and captured theEel, proving that he is responsible for the murder for which Mr. Hyde has been charged.[41]
Hotel Brawl[]
Rejected by the New World Order Mr. Hyde went toManhattan to track them down and get the money owed him. Peter spotted Hyde's alter ego Calvin Zabo checking into the hotel. Having left his costume at home, Peter grabbedPhil Urich's hooded sweatshirt to hide his face and investigates. Instead, he ends up in a brawl with Hyde that leads right into the party. Hyde finally decided his opponent is his old partner, the Cobra, and eventually withdraws, right into the waiting police force.[42]
Shortly after he had several run-ins with theGhost Rider in which he was defeated with the Penance Stare.[43][44][45]
Iron Man[]
Mr. Hyde was sent to attackIron Man, to make sure the bomb attached to him would blow up. They fought for a while and Tony managed to outsmart him and beat him.[46]
The Raft[]
Zabo was held in theRaft for some time. When a prison break was caused by the villain,Electro, Zabo emerged in his Hyde persona and fought with Daredevil and was knocked unconscious by Luke Cage.[47] Hyde briefly helped the symbiote-bondedToxin trackCobra after a prison escape by providing a piece of skin for the symbiote to track.[48]
Young Avengers[]
At one point, Zabo was discovered by theYoung Avengers to be selling a derivative of his Hyde formula on the street as one of the various illegal substances known asMutant Growth Hormone.[49]
Civil War[]
Zabo grafted abilities similar to the powers of Spider-Man onto homeless teenagers.[50] After Spider-Man revealed his identity during theCivil War, Zabo sought to recreate the circumstances of Spider-Man's "birth", by taking in orphans off the street, imbuing them with spider-powers, and seeing whether or not the teenagers would give in to their darker impulses.[4] During the ensuing battle with Spider-Man, Hyde pulled webbing off his face, taking his eyelids with it, and was hit in the face with hydrochloric acid, courtesy of one of his own guinea pigs. He was left blinded and his face was ruined as a result.Dr. Curt Connors later aided Spider-Man in a cure for Calvin, one of Zabo's test subjects.[51]
The Hood[]
The Hood hired him as part of his criminal organization to take advantage of the split in the superhero community caused by the Superhuman Registration Act. Later. along with Cobra,Firebrand andMauler, he attackedYellowjacket,Constrictor and other Initiative staff and trainees.[52]
Mister Hyde worked withBoomerang,Tiger Shark, andWhirlwind to manipulateVenom into procuringNorman Osborn's fortunes. This was thwarted by Venom and Green Goblin as Norman threw a bomb into Mister Hyde's mouth causing him to spit out blood. Norman Osborn then warned Mister Hyde and the villains that if they crossed him again, he would kill everyone that they ever loved before they were tortured to death.[53][54][55][56]
Lethal Legion[]
Mr. Hyde was recruited in theGrim Reaper'sLethal Legion.[57] The team later battledHawkeye.[58]
Bucky andBlack Widow confronted the escaping Mr. Hyde. Taking out his goons, Hyde is compelled to run. Observing the fight, Captain America caught Bucky's shield-throw, using it to break Hyde's glass jaw.[59]

Moon Knight fights Hyde
Moon Knight[]
At the docks,Moon Knight spied two armed henchmen, making a pick-up for a mysterious employer. They approach Mr. Hyde, who demands payment. When it is not given, he killed the two men. Moon Knight attacked and the fight moved onto Hyde's boat, and Moon Knight discovered that Hyde was selling a deadUltron. He made off with the Ultron's head, diving into the water. The henchmen's employer appeared above the boat as Moon knight dived deeper. He refused to pay Hyde, in return for killing the henchmen. He attacked with a massive burst of energy and absconded with the rest of the Ultron body.[60]
Thunderbolts[]
During his incarceration at the Raft, Zabo witnessedBrandon who was locked up in the prison.[61] Soon after, Zabo still a prisoner was surprised whenSongbird andU.S. Agent recruited him as a candidate for the Thunderbolts Beta Team.[62] Alongside others such asArmadillo,Mandrill,Dark Beast, andTroll, Zabo was evaluated for field service. During his interview, Zabo assumed his intellect was the primary reason for his selection, but Songbird instead handed him a vial of his Hyde serum. Philosophically musing as he drank, Zabo transformed into a monstrous version of Hyde and violently seized Songbird.[63] However, when Hyde lashed out, Troll bit him, distracting him long enough for her to activate nanites that reverted him to Zabo. Songbird warned that similar control measures would remain in place.Fixer then announced that Zabo, along withShocker,Boomerang, Troll, andCenturius, would constitute the Thunderbolts' new Beta Team.[64]

Dark Avengers[]
The team's journey continued through time, briefly witnessing the pre-Creation era and passing cosmic entities like theWatcher and theCelestials. They clashed withDoctor Doom before landing in a future Latveria ruled byBoss Cage.[76] After several confrontations and the destruction of Thunderbolts Tower, Hyde and his allies joined forces with local rebels, the Outlanders. Hyde briefly attempted to stop Troll from killing their enemies insisting he do it himself.[77] Eventually, the team returned to their own time, helping defeat rogue Thunderbolts such asAi Apaec,Ragnarok,Toxie Doxie, andTrickshot, and vanquishingSultan Magus.[78] Following this, Man-Thing transported each member to their place of greatest desire. For Hyde, that destination was mayhem.[79]
Ghost Rider[]
Mr. Hyde had battled the new Ghost Rider,Roberto Reyes, after building a criminal empire and trying to take overEast Los Angeles.[80] Mr. Hyde also worked with mercenaries of a drug cartel to form anUrban Alliance, which he prepared to use to finish offGrumpy's Gang, whentheir leader suddenly took some mysterious pills, secretly derived from the Hyde Formula, and mutated into a massive, hulking creature.[81] The Ghost Rider subdued the gang's leader after a brutal fight,[82] and was subsequently confronted by Mr. Hyde. Zabo was initially defeated,[83] causing Ghost Rider to become a protector in the eyes of local residents, though the threat did not end there as Zabo next soughtnew allies.[84]
Avengers: Standoff![]
Mister Hyde was later apprehended by S.H.I.E.L.D. and placed inPleasant Hill which served as the most unlikeliest of prisons[85] where the prisoners were transformed into mild-mannered versions of themselves by the sentientCosmic CubeKobik.[86] Hyde and the other prisoners were returned to normal byBaron Zemo and theFixer and joined Zemo in an assault to take over the town.[87][88] The takeover was eventually halted by the Avengers,Avengers Unity Division, and S.H.I.E.L.D. reinforcements.[89] While not shown, it can be presumed that Mister Hyde was defeated and transferred to a different prison.
Secret Empire[]
Hyde eventually joined Baron Zemo'sArmy of Evil,[90] aiding them in Hydra's takeover of theUnited States by launching an attack on Manhattan to lure out many of the nation’s superheroes so Zemo andBlackout could trap them behind an impenetrableDarkforce dome.[91] Hyde later led a Hydra force into the Inhuman city ofNew Attilan to take it over and began arresting the Inhumans living there.[92]
Hyde was one of the few members of the Army of Evil that wasn't put in stasis by Hydra.[93] Instead, Hyde was put in charge of managing the detention facilities where the Inhumans were placed in as Hydra rounded them up if they failed to register with the government or posed a threat.[94] Months later, Hyde led a Hydra force against his daughter Quake and aragtag team of Inhumans she assembled.[95]
With assistance fromHydra's Avengers, Quake and her team were captured and taken aboard a HydraHelicarrier. Quake managed to cripple the Helicarrier with her seismic powers forcing Hyde and his force to evacuate, but not before capturing Quake's teammateMoon Girl.[96]
Hyde took Moon Girl and another Inhuman,Leer, whom Quake's team was searching for, to New Attilan where he kept them prisoner. The Warriors learned where Moon Girl was being held and head to New Attilan to rescue her. The Warriors then led a prison uprising against Hydra. Hyde escaped in aHydra Jumpship with Quake as his prisoner. He tried to convince her to join forces with him, but before he could make a deal, the Warriors knocked his ship out of the air. After Hyde emerged from the wrecked aircraft,Karnak struck Hyde's pressure points, leaving Hyde immobilized for the next 10 days.[97]
Ravencroft[]
Hyde was later transferred to the newly builtRavencroft Institute.[98] While there, he developed an obsession with the institute's security consultantJohn Jameson. One day, he grabbed Jameson and tried to get him to transform into the Man-Wolf for his amusement. Hyde was quickly subdued by Jameson's fellow staff memberMisty Knight and taken to solitary confinement.[99]
Still obsessed with Jameson, Hyde was from his cell in solitary by Ravencroft consultantNorman Osborn and gave him a shiv, wanting him to kill Jameson, though Osborn actually hoped Jameson would transform into Man-Wolf. When Hyde attacked Jameson, Jameson was able to stop Hyde's attack. After Hyde backhanded Misty Knight when she tried to stop him, Hyde was tackled by institute guardDennis Dunphy and prisonerGrizzly. However, Hyde's shiv accidentally hit Dunphy in the chest. Hyde was then subdued by prison guards.[100] When agroup of vampires took over Ravencroft shortly afterward, all of the inmates were set free, including Mister Hyde.[101]
Hyde's Downfall[]
Some time later, Zabo struck a deal with an elusive mercenary known asThe Sokovian, who offered Zabo ten million dollars in Mutant Growth Hormone in exchange for passage out of the United States. Their meeting was interrupted by the new Punisher,Joe Garrison, who sought revenge on The Sokovian for the murder of his wife and children. After Joe dispatched Zabo's goons, Zabo transformed into Mister Hyde to try and kill the vigilante, nearly succeeding due to his superior strength, even though he lost one of his eyes to Joe in the process. Joe managed to gain the upper hand by stealing The Sokovian's suitcase of Mutant Growth Hormone, which he force-fed Hyde to overdose him. Although the dose seemed lethal,[7] Zabo resurfaced alive shortly afterward,[8] and was readmitted to Ravencroft.[102]

Attributes
![]() |
Powers

- Hyde Formula: Any and all superhuman attributes Zabo has are due to consuming a formula of his own design specifically to transform him into a superhumanly powerful being. By consuming different mixtures of his transformation potion, Calvin Zabo can transform back and forth from his alter-ego of Mister Hyde. The chemical process is hormonal in nature, causing the cells of his anatomy to instantly manufacture mutated hormones that induce a physical transformation encompassing his entire figure. The transformation is excruciating, taking about 30 seconds, adds 7 inches and approximately 235 lbs. of muscle and bone tissue to his frame. Aside from his greater physical size, the transformation process also stretches his skin, particularly his face to the point that he has a permanent sneer. Due to the process, Zabo's fingerprints in both his normal and Hyde forms are different.[104] Zabo's body now produces the formula on its own andFixer theorized that this could mean that his transformation could now be permanent.[105]
- Superhuman Strength: Hyde possesses superhuman strength, but the exact limits of his strength changed regularly. He is constantly modifying and improving upon his formula, producing different results, including adding other elements such as MGH.[49] When his strength was measured around the time of the Masters of Evil strike on Avengers Mansion, he could lift (press) 50 tons.[104]
- Superhuman Stamina: Hyde's advanced musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. He can exert himself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair him.[106]
- Superhuman Durability: Hyde's body is much harder and more resistant to conventional physical injury than the body of a normal human. He can withstand high caliber bullets, falls from great heights, exposure to extreme temperatures and pressures, powerful energy blasts, and tremendous impact forces without sustaining injury.[106]
- Regeneration: While his body is highly durable, it is possible to injure him. If injured, his accelerated metabolism allows him to rapidly heal from mild to moderate injuries faster than a normal human. Ultimately, the full limits of his heightened healing abilities aren't known. However, it is believed that he is unable to fully regenerate severed limbs or missing organs should such injuries occur.[106]
Abilities
- Genius Intelligence: Calvin Zabo is a gifted scientist andchemist. However, when transformed into Hyde, his intelligence decreases to within normal human ranges.[104]
- Hand to Hand Combat: Hyde is a formidable hand to hand combatant, though he's had no formal training. He tends to rely on street fighting techniques that allow him to make full use of his great strength.[104]
- Mr. Hyde can drive a truck (as long as he doesn't lose his temper and tears off the wheel).[34]
Weaknesses
- Zabo originally had to ingest his formula on a regular basis in order to remain as Hyde, otherwise he would revert to his normal state after a certain amount of time. This is not 100% consistent, however, due to constant changes to the formula and Zabo's own bio-structure. At times he can trigger the change at will without using his formula, or has remained as Hyde indefinitely without reverting back or reapplying his formula.[107]
- He is also less intelligent as Hyde and is prone to savage, almost bestial rages in which he becomes reckless.[30]
- The Punisher and Henry Russo knocked him out by playing a song by Three Inches of Blood (real band with covers/arts by Rick Remender) through the external speakers of the ant helmet wore by the Punisher, looping it with feedback through Henry's mic.[108]
Paraphernalia
Equipment
- Later in his criminal career, Zabo developed a wrist-mounted mechanism which delivers his formula directly into his bloodstream, allowing him to transform at will.[42]
Trivia
- Mr. Hyde was a regular at theBar With No Name.[109]
- Captain America has stated that he considers Hyde to be a true monster as he is 'infinitely ruthless and cruel' as well as 'deriving sadistic pleasure from the pain and suffering of others.'[110]
