—Mister Fantastic[source]Order.Chaos.Eternity.Infinity. TheIn-Betweener. They're abstractions.Conceptsmanifesting themselves asentities.
Abstract entities are conceptualcosmic beings that do not have physical form. They manifest through "M-Bodies" provided from theDimension of Manifestations.[2]
History
Abstracts are embodiments of concepts. Some of them were "born" when the universe was created, such asEternity,Infinity,Death,Master Order, andLord Chaos.[13] Some are older, such asOblivion and theLiving Tribunal.[14][15] Abstracts can be still born after the Big Bang, such as Eternity's children,[16]Epoch,[17] and theIn-Betweener.[18]
The abstracts were decimated when theMultiverse was destroyed by theBeyonders and theincursions.[19][20] A coalition of the principal abstracts, including the Living Tribunal, attempted to challenge the Beyonders but were completely overpowered and were wiped out.[19]

Miscellaneous
Type of Government

Three intermediaries (front) and their six masters (back)
As of theEighth Cosmos, the principal abstracts are divided into four pairs.[24][23] Also, they have lesser intermediaries, except forThe-Powers-That-Be andThe-Natural-Order-of-Things.[25]
- TheLiving Tribunal andOblivion (Intermediary: thePreordained)
- Eternity andInfinity (Intermediary:Continuum[26])
- Master Order andLord Chaos (Intermediary: theIn-Betweener)
- The-Powers-That-Be andThe-Natural-Order-of-Things
There are other groupings among the abstracts, such asLife andDeath,[28]Mistress Love andSire Hate,[29] Eternity's many children,[30][31][32] theQueen of Nevers and theGriever at the End of All Things (who also use agents for their roles and conflict),[33] etc.
In addition, even thoughformer iterations of the Multiverse are defunct, their embodiments still live on in theFar Shore or theMystery because "nothing truly dies." They form the "Ultimate Ultimates."[34] Generally, they have nothing to do with the current Multiverse, but the Never Queen was originally one of those embodiments and she interacts with the current Multiverse from outside of it.[35][36]Representatives
Notes
- In theSeventh Cosmos, the quartet ofEternity,Infinity,Death, andOblivion was called "the four points of thecosmological compass"[37] or "the four pillars of reality."[38]
- This is no longer applicable in theEighth Cosmos.[23] Instead, there are eight "Ur divisors":[24] theLiving Tribunal, Oblivion, Eternity, Infinity,Master Order,Lord Chaos,The-Powers-That-Be, andThe-Natural-Order-of-Things.[27][39] The former six also received redesigns forG.O.D.S., which can be viewedhere.
- The term "abstract entity" is sometimes used interchangeably with "cosmic entity."Galactus,Celestials,Aspirants, and even theProemial Gods have all been called abstracts.[5][40][41][12]
- As clarified inQuasar #37, Galactus, Celestials, theStranger,Watchers, etc. are not actually abstract entities, but they can manifestM-Bodies in the same fashion as abstracts.
- Regardless, these beings share similar stature to abstracts and arefrequently grouped together.
