Doctor Abraham Erskine shared a similar history to hisEarth 616 counter part in which he developed and administered theSuper Soldier Serum toSteven Rogers. However, instead of being assassinated he was saved by Rogers. Erskine was then able to successfully create and army of Super Soliders who allowed the Allies to winWorld War II. Cap was frozen in ice in 1946 and in the subsequent yearsRoxxon obtained the Serum and adjusted the formula to make it cheaper and more addictive but it began killing people. Erskine assisted theAvengers in stopping Roxxon and developed an antidote to his Serum. After Cap was recovered from the ice, he and Erskine met again and Erskine enlisted his aid in administering the antidote to the population.^[1]
