History
Abner Ferris was envious ofHenry Hill's success, and did everything he could to put a spoke in his wheels but without success. He tried to find out about Henry's past, first asking the shopkeeperEzra Hagen who told him that Henry was an orphan and given his potential a scientist namedSeth Blye had taken care of Henry's studies by paying his school fees, then seeing Abner's interest he didn't tell him anything else. Abner then went to his father who told him where Professor Blye lived, but that he was now dead. Abner went to Professor Blye's old house anyway, which served as his laboratory, and inside he found a still-working machine and the Professor's diary. In the diary it was written that with his machine he had managed to transport a one-year-old child from another dimension and if the machine, which would have worked for 100 years, had remained in operation he would have grown up and lived like a normal human, so not being able to raise him himself he gave the child up for adoption to a good family. Abner thought that the child was Henry Hill and then tried to blackmail him but Henry did not give in, and then Abner decided to destroy the machine. Henry ran to Abner's father warning him of what he was about to do and both ran to Professor Blye's old house arriving just as Abner was destroying the machine and with the machine destroyed the one who disappeared returning to his home dimension was Abner and not Henry.[1]
