PROLOG        top

       This manual page is part of the POSIX Programmer's Manual. The Linux implementation of this interface may differ (consult the corresponding Linux manual page for details of Linux behavior), or the interface may not be implemented on Linux.

NAME        top

       posix_spawnattr_getsigmask, posix_spawnattr_setsigmask — get and set the spawn-sigmask attribute of a spawn attributes object (ADVANCED REALTIME)

SYNOPSIS        top

       #include <signal.h>       #include <spawn.h>       int posix_spawnattr_getsigmask(const posix_spawnattr_t *restrictattr,           sigset_t *restrictsigmask);       int posix_spawnattr_setsigmask(posix_spawnattr_t *restrictattr,           const sigset_t *restrictsigmask);

DESCRIPTION        top

       Theposix_spawnattr_getsigmask() function shall obtain the value of thespawn-sigmask attribute from the attributes object referenced byattr. Theposix_spawnattr_setsigmask() function shall set thespawn-sigmask attribute in an initialized attributes object referenced byattr. Thespawn-sigmask attribute represents the signal mask in effect in the new process image of a spawn operation (if POSIX_SPAWN_SETSIGMASK is set in thespawn-flags attribute). The default value of this attribute is unspecified.

RETURN VALUE        top

       Upon successful completion,posix_spawnattr_getsigmask() shall return zero and store the value of thespawn-sigmask attribute ofattr into the object referenced by thesigmask parameter; otherwise, an error number shall be returned to indicate the error. Upon successful completion,posix_spawnattr_setsigmask() shall return zero; otherwise, an error number shall be returned to indicate the error.

ERRORS        top

       These functions may fail if:EINVALThe value specified byattr is invalid. Theposix_spawnattr_setsigmask() function may fail if:EINVALThe value of the attribute being set is not valid.The following sections are informative.

EXAMPLES        top

       None.

APPLICATION USAGE        top

       These functions are part of the Spawn option and need not be provided on all implementations.

RATIONALE        top

       None.
