E3 2002: Nickelodeon Party Blast

Check out the first screenshots of Infogrames' Nicktoons party game.

Infogrames is taking a cue from games like Mario Party and Fuzion Frenzy and is readying a multiplayer party game of its own:Nickelodeon Party Blast. Licensed by Nickelodeon and starring eight playable Nicktoons stars, Party Blast has you compete against up to three of your friends in five different types of multi-event battles. The roster of playable characters includes SpongeBob SquarePants, Jimmy Neutron, Invader Zim, Otto and Reggie Rocket (Rocket Power), Angelica and Tommy Pickles (Rugrats), and Eliza Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys).


The mini-games appear to consist mainly of Nick-fied versions of mainstay videogame sports like basketball and ice hockey, but developer Data Design also promises plenty of unlockable bonus levels, power-ups, and even boss battles.

Currently scheduled for GameCube, Xbox, and PC, Nickelodeon Party Blast will be released in Q4 2002. The targeted age group for this title is 7 & up, so that pretty much means you... If not, then congrats -- you read very well for your age. Now click on over toCraig's site.
