Star Bharat is a Hindi general entertainment channel in India that complementsDisney Star’s flagship channel,Star Plus, along withStar Utsav. It was launched in 2004 asStar One and rebranded in 2011 asLife OK, before adopting its current name in 2017. Along with Star Plus, it competes withZee TV,Sony TV,Colors andSony Sab. In 2022 it was repositioned as a romance-focused channel.
The wordBharat meansIndia in several Indian languages, and is also used in the names of other channels such asRepublic Bharat andTV9 Bharatvarsh.

Star One was launched on 1 November 2004, a few months afterStar Utsav, and positioned as a youth-centric channel for urban audiences. The logo for the American feed did not have the STAR mark above the wordone.

Star One was renamed to Life OK on 18 December 2011. The new brand was created byventurethree, who had already rebrandedStar Plus in 2010, and later rebrandedStar Jalsha and theStar Sports network. St Ryde was the on-screen typeface.
It was one of two channels to useStar's OK brand, created for urban-focused content aimed at a progressive Indian audience; the other wasMovies OK, which was launched in May 2012. In response, rival networkZee created the& brand in 2013, starting with&pictures, a Hindi movie channel like Movies OK.

Life OK was renamed to Star Bharat on 28 August 2017, thus leaving Movies OK to be the only Star channel using the OK brand until 1 February 2020, when it was renamed toStar Gold 2. The free Mukta font was used in on-air typography in both Devanagari and English. The channel’s tagline wasBhula De Dar, Kuchh Alag Kar (Forget Fear, Do Something Different).

Initially Star Bharat was available on the government-ownedDD Free Dish, but after its removal from the platform on 1 March 2019 along with some other pay-TV channels, it has suffered from low ratings, especially compared to Star Plus, the most popular Hindi pay-TV channel.
On 22 January 2021, Star Bharat in the UK and Europe was renamed toUtsav Bharat, along with the UK and Europe versions ofStar Plus andStar Gold, which were renamed toUtsav Plus andUtsav Gold, respectively. However, the names of these channels in India and other regions continue to use the Star brand.

Star Bharat rebranded with a new logo and graphics package on 25 July 2022, during the finale of the wedding reality showSwayamvar: Mika Di Vohti. The new slogan isDil Deke Dekho Zara (Give Your Heart and See). This coincided with its repositioning as a romance-oriented channel. At the same time,Utsav Bharat, the UK and Europe version of the channel, introduced the new graphics and slogan.
The Star wordmark in the logo is no longer uppercase, but is now identical to the Star wordmark in the logos ofStar Jalsha,Star Pravah,Star Suvarna and the newly-launchedStar Kiran. The new graphics package is based on colourful flowing saree-like textiles against a light blue background, the same colour that was adopted by Star Suvarna during its rebrand in late 2020.
