Play5, known from 2012 to 2021 asVIJF (meaningfive in Dutch) and before then asVIJFtv, is a female-oriented commercial TV channel owned by Belgian Dutch broadcasterSBS Belgium, itself a subsidiary ofTelenet (Liberty Global). Its competitors are theVTM-branded channels ofDPG Media, and the public broadcasterVRT.

The logo was placed inside a pink square on 18 February 2013.

On 30 August 2018, VIJF changed its logo to a numeral, similar to its sister channelVIER, which had rebranded in 2017.

2021–present[]
On 28 January 2021, VIER, VIJF and ZES were renamed toPlay4, Play5 andPlay6, respectively, in advance of the new women’s channelPlay7 launching in April 2021. The rebrand consolidates all television channels owned byTelenet (the owner ofSBS Belgium), which also ownedPlay Sports andPlay More premium channels.
This move is similar to the renaming of competitors Q2, Vitaya and Caz toVTM 2,VTM 3 andVTM 4, respectively, on 31 August 2020.
