ONdigital was launched on November 15, 1998. Besides offering eighteen channels, it also offered the email service ONmail, text service ONnet, and pay-per-view serviceONrequest.

2001–2002[]
On July 18, 2001, ONdigital changed its name to ITV Digital. However, it was not enough to save the platform from their financial losses; the platform went into administration on March 27, 2002, and became wholly defunct on October 30.
