9X was a Hindi general entertainment channel launched on 12 November 2007 byINX Media (whose other channels were9XM andNewsX). It was acquired byZee on 28 April 2010 to complementZee TV.

However, its ratings did not improve, and 9X closed down on 30 April 2015 along with Hindi movie channelZee Premier.

In late 2010, INX Media was renamed to9X Media andlaunched several music channels under the 9X brand, complementing9XM. As for NewsX, it has been owned by theiTV Network since 2012.
