The problem, ‘£ 100 was divided among 100 people so that each man received £ 10, each woman 10s., and each child 2s. 6d. How many men, women and children were there?’ leads to thediophantine equations
and for solution, needs also the fact that the ‘Variables’ or ‘unknowns’ can take only values that are positive integers.
