화식조목(Casuariformes)은 4종의 현존하는 종을 포함하고 있는조류 목이다.화식조 3종과에뮤 1종으로 이루어져 있다. 에뮤는에뮤과의 유일종이며, 화식조는화식조과에 속한다. 화식조목에 속하는 4종은오스트레일리아-뉴기니에서 발견되는 아주 큰 날지 못하는 새다.[2]
