"Silly Moods" is the first segment of the twenty-fourth episode of thefirst season ofKiff. It is the forty-seventh segment overall.

Synopsis[]

A trip toTable Town Museum is threatened whenKiff andBarry get into a silly mood.

Plot[]

Kiff andBarry's class is taking a field trip to theTable Town Museum.Principal Secretary announces that at the end of the trip, they will all be getting their pictures taken by the museum's magic camera, which generates pictures of what its subjects will look like in their old age. On thebus ride to the museum, Kiff attempts to drink from her water bottle while the bus is traveling on a bumpy road, causing water to splash on her face every time the bus hits a bump, which amuses her and Barry. To prevent further splashing, Barry pours some water into the bottle's cap for Kiff to sip. Kiff extends her lips and slowly sips the water from the cap, amusing Barry, who then does the same. This puts Kiff and Barry in "silly moods", causing them to laugh uncontrollably at anything even mildly amusing.

While entering the museum, Kiff and Barry see two guests being thrown out by security for being in silly moods. Not wanting to meet the same fate and miss out on the magic camera exhibit, Kiff and Barry agree to control their silly moods inside. While the class tours an exhibit on whale noises, Kiff and Barry try to remain quiet, but the noises eventually cause them to burst out laughing. After being told off by their tour guide for being noisy, Kiff and Barry head into a restroom to let out their laughter. Inside, they see a man complaining about being unable to dry his hands because the restroom has run out of paper towels. Instead of helping, Kiff and Barry laugh at the man and leave.

Kiff and Barry try staying away from each other to avoid triggering each other's silly moods. While the class is being treated to refreshments, however, Kiff and Barry both notice that everyone is sipping water from the museum's miniature cups in a manner similar to how they were sipping from the bottle cap earlier. The two eventually lock eyes, causing them to spit out their water, which hits the back of their tour guide's head. The class then views a sacred statue, but despite the solemn atmosphere of the exhibit, Kiff and Barry again burst into laughter. As a result, the two are detained in the museum's security office. Kiff again tries to control her silly mood, but Barry eggs Kiff into laughing by playing a prank with a security guard's hair, causing them to be thrown out of the museum.

Outside, Kiff and Barry regret their misbehavior, as they still want to get their picture taken by the magic camera. They then realize that they might be able to convince a security guard to let them back inside by putting the guard in a silly mood as well. They succeed in putting one guard in a silly mood by sipping water from a bottle cap in front of him, and he lets them back into the museum.

While lining up with their classmates at the magic camera exhibit, Kiff and Barry note that their silly moods have finally vanished. The two get their picture taken together, and the camera generates a picture of an elderly Kiff and Barry unable to dry their hands in a restroom which has run out of paper towels.Trevor finds the picture hilarious and asks the employee manning the exhibit to project the picture on the museum's television monitors. Kiff and Barry are served karma when the entire museum, including the man in the restroom from earlier, bursts into laughter upon seeing the picture, humiliating the two.

On the ride back from the museum, the bus hits a bump while Barry is trying to drink from his water bottle, causing water to splash on his face. Kiff and Barry give each other amused looks, indicating that their silly moods have returned.
