I am a full professor at the Department for the Philosophy of Law and Legal Ethics and deputy-dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration (both at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków), as well as Director of the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies. I hold PhDs in law (2003) and philosophy (2007). I have authored or co-authored 22 book monographs, and co-edited 26 collections of essays. I have also published almost 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed chapters. I have received a number of prestigious awards, including Humboldt Fellowship (2005), Scientific Prize of the ‘Polityka’ weekly magazine (2006), scholarship of the Minister of Science for Outstanding Young Scholars (2008), award of the Prime Minister of Poland for the habilitation dissertation (2009), the ‘Mistrz’ (Master) Prize of the Foundation for Polish Science (2015), and the Prize of the National Science Center. I am also co-creator of the Copernicus Festival, an annual event devoted to discussing the role and place of science in culture, and of the Copernicus College, the first Polish MOOC platform.
