It was on both normal and boss, another thing that happened is with the old boss, the orange dragon, that i got defeated and eaten and then he just stopped attacking but was also immortal

I encountered a bug where the belly explosion didn't detonate after i got eaten and just nothing happened

Will there be endings? If there are, I didn't get them I guess :P

I have a suggestion: Could you possibly ad something like a custom character? Maybe a test tube that you could unlock in the research statiom where you can make your own character with different species and colors and stuff?
