Oh no I tried to look at the Ghoul item I picked up after killing a Ghoul and got an error haha.

Looks cool so far!

Awesome thanks! I figured if it came up I could probably make something up. Just wanted to see if I was missing something.

In Book 1 under Naval Encounters, River Monsters are referenced. I haven't found any explicit lists of what a river monster might be though?

Really cool concept and a fun challenge!

Thanks for the interest!

Yeah I really should make downloadable builds. Hopefully I can get to it in the near future. I'd still like to adapt The Wall into this as well.

Beautiful game! Makes me want to make my own little world to explore.

Hope you don't mind. I made a perchance name generator for the game! Hopefully it can come in handy.

Yeah originally I wanted the keyboard controls to line up with the gamepad controls with just a primary and secondary button. But on keyboard the inventory system felt kind of odd. Mouse input could have bee a much more natural addition.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! I had similar thoughts about the spamming by the end. The escape menu stuff is definitely a mistake.

Thanks for playing! Yeah it would've been awesome to have a bunch of unique enemies with different fights. I originally wanted enemies to have different spotlight shapes too! But time ran out. Maybe I'll add some stuff for a post jam version.

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah the escape key setup for closing the game is very messy. Any other controls you weren't a fan of?

Thanks so much for playing! And for the feedback.
Totally agree on the controls. They're not very well planned...

Next year I'm going to make a menu and exit screen from the start to make sure everything feels alright.

Cool game! Running away from enemies was pretty intense, and I liked the layouts of the level. Nice use of sound design too. I wasn't a big fan of slow movement, but I can understand why you made it that way because the enemies moved in real time. The minimap was very helpful, but possibly too helpful. When running I found myself purely looking at the minimap so that I could keep track of the enemy location.

Nice work!

Thanks so much for playing! Some excellent feedback here.

The best thing I could have had would be settings for the repeat input speed, control remapping, and other quality of life things.

Getting a bit lost is intentional. So far I haven't seen anybody take too long to finish the game, so I think it is an ok amount of getting lost.

I'm sad you never used the EMPs or Energy Drinks! I think maybe those could have been tutorialized better, or made more necessary/useful in order to prompt their use.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for playing! Everybody I've watched has beat the boss in the same way. I think multiple stages, or limited openings of attack could have made that more interesting. But limited time frame and all that.

Thanks!

Very high praise! Thank you! Looking forward to watching the video.

Awesome thank you! I can make a linux build for sure. Assuming my old linux machine still works.

Lol. Yeah... the game doesn't account for that situation. Luckily it is rare haha.

Thanks for playing! Yeah the feedback has been very consistent, so I think I have a good idea of what to change for a post-jam version.

Thanks for playing! Yeah I definitely made it way too hard. Glad the gifts are interesting though!

I'm hoping to make a more balanced post-jam version.

Haha yeah I made it too difficult for sure.

I need to check out rift wizard apparently then!

Sadly the game wouldn't run for me. I saw the window popup alongside a terminal, but it wouldn't stick around for long.

Any thoughts on how I might be able to run it? This is in Windows 11.

Thanks for playing! Yeah I had a few playtesters really struggle with food, so the game could use a lot more balancing if I ever work on it more.

This is absolutely incredible! Really polished and with so much detail. The spell system was a ton of fun and I would love to see it expanded on.
