Yes, but you need enough HP to survive the rat belly :P

You can gain some during the prologue at the inn - buying some food + warming yourself up by the fire will give you enough HP.

There's a trick to it.Be prepared - if you're locked into the casting animation and an enemy is approaching from the left, hold down the left arrow key so you're ready to go as soon as the animation stops, for example

No. The only thing I did use AI for is the character face pics for the dialogue boxes, out of necessity.

I do photoshop them by hand, though, to make sure there's nothing weird there :3
