Ah. Ok got it! I finished, as in, reached the king.

The camera was a little strange, it seemed to overshoot on focus of new character or when jumping which made it a little jerky.

The last couple of rooms had some puzzle elements that were unforgiving. If you messed up, you had to restart as there was no way to undo anything. That means you have to use trial and error to solve the puzzles because there is no indication as to what a button will actually do until after you have pressed it and no way to reset and do things in the correct order, with characters being in the right place, without restarting the room.

I thought I was softlocked until I hit escape and found the retry option, might want to add a reset button in the UI, or update the controls on this page.

I would suggest maybe using space/up for jump and having z mapped to attack or something else?

All in all a really nice concept with some really fun elements!

After getting to the white cat, I cannot make that jump up to where the switch is. I your playthrough so seem to have a much higher jump.

This was 1.2.4 and I think the green pearl is now rarer?  I have encountered the green pearl probably 15 times so far.
I currently have about 30 parrots, and splash damage of 5. Boner is way at the back of the boat behind all the dice allowing me up to 7 shots, although I have not had to shoot anything in a really long time. Epic run.

This game could be absolutely phenomenal PvP. Let players encounter each other along the way within the usual progression.

Wright was my first upgrade and didn't plate cargo. He got upgraded with the teacher. After that I got a parrot.

Out of the blue. Didn't work before the upgrade, and  didn't start working until perhaps 4 encounters after the upgrade. Then it behaved normally.

And finished! Great stuff! The going out of the map could potentially be something to consider in a different project.
Engaging story and just very impressed with how classic rogue graphics and a metroidvania could be pulled off so well.

I've also noticed on a few runs that Wright no longer plates found cargo. That was the base 3 and then upgraded 3/4. Cargo just never got plated.
Then it started working again.

When I have Shin and Swab, they both say they decrease 2 incoming damage, but apparently those don't stack to decrease to 4 incoming damage.

How does the math game work and is it always possible to win?

I managed to go out of the map and I am not sure if it was intentional. I could re-pickup the crystals but the upgraded equipment was then downgraded.  Before that I could not find a way to navigate the EV out of the bottom left corner - It would either be blocked by the crystals because I could not use the light, or go out of range in the upper right.

So 2nd fight encounter I get this. Sin boy can loot 6 extra cargo pieces. I didn't recruit him after the encounter after 1st fight, but this seems a little over powering.

That had some really interesting mechanics!  The time rewind was a little strange as the object seemed to want to go back to their point of origin, I am thinking so you couldn't constantly overthrow keys and just rewind partially to unlock.

I think the last playable level is the one with the underwater lever?

Fun stuff! Good luck :)

The section where you get swarmed by red guys, is that possible to pass? I have tried 3 times and it seems impossible.

Lots of fun with some nicely diverse mechanics getting introduced along the way!

Oh wow! Ok.  Yes, I did meet the requirements (had lost some health and had 1 or 2 seeds - pressing K or holding down right click). Browser was FireFox and Chrome.

Same issue with healing. I think it worked once, but after that it no longer did.

The paper in the drawer, with the 1 through 5. Ah, the apparent numbers on the bulletin board in various ways. And out :)

I think I made it to the boss fight (skull floating and flames/projectiles) and that has me getting a little frustrated. Everything up to that point was really intriguing. Some of the puzzles when it was dark were a little tricky, but doable. I got lost a few times, or I guess lost track of what was where but eventually found where I had to go.

I'll attempt that (hopefully) final boss a little later. This is wonderfully unique!

Much better!  Interesting game! I really liked how the "detection cones" were visible and not too large. It made the stealth a lot more fun!

I think I need a jetpack or something but can't find one. I really like the elastic mushroom mechanic :)  Those little yellow insect things are kind of brutal - some rooms you can get swarmed. Will try and find a jetpack :)

Ah ok. Thanks for that hint. I thought it was to the right of where the vines were as that was what I thought of as the forest, for some reason.

There were come nice puzzles in there. The knocking one was a little strange as I was unsure of how quickly to knock, and how long to pause, but eventually got it.

The torch going out in the cave was a little odd, but I noticed the screen did brighten after a little while.

The main character could probably always run and have walk be the optional speed, but that was just due to the amount of back tracking required.

Overall it was an interesting experience and immersive in a minimally good way. It would be nice to see this expanded on.

Ok.. found the pistol, it was hard to see. I got a couple of upgrades but got stuck on the right hand side jumping part. Just didn't seem to be able to make some of those jumps.  I'll check back later. Thanks!

interesting. The hint system could be a little more helpful. Currently stuck on the river puzzle that can apparently be completed by looking at a specific path in the forest. That might have something to do with flowers but it is a little to vague for me. Lots of flowers/combinations that could work.  I did find an area below the pond but can't seem to do anything further.

Died on the screen where it shows you how to shoot. Could never shoot, but got killed by the small yellow thing and respawned without being able to see the main character sprite. Could still move but still got killed everytime I got back to the learn how to shoot area.

Also, to actually start the game I had to press hold the start button for quite a long time. I initially thought the game just wouldn't start.

I can't recall the specific room. there were several.  And for some reason my timer ran out :( Will try again another time :)

Interesting and looks great.  More save points would stop a lot of the frustration.  It wasn't communicated that any powerups were awarded, or how to use them. I was stuck until I realized I could down attack on the green pod things, and I think the down attack was a powerup. The enemies seemed to be a little relentless, they had no knock back, so you were pretty much guaranteed to take damage. Also the flowers that had the homing seed things appear to persist for a really long time. While having the dialog with the giant, they appeared and I took damage from them and died.   Again, interesting and looks great but was a little frustrating.

Thank you for updating!

Eyeman is soooo hard!  Any tips ?

Absolutely following :)  Some of the stages have been really difficult, but that might just be my skill level !

Looks interesting. I would consider changing the controls. Ctrl + W in FireFox/Chrome closes the tab.

This was really strange, sometimes frustrating, but always interesting.

The last area, where the character gets smacked around by the Cultivator was the most frustrating part.

The augmentations I did not understand - how they worked or how they affected anything.

Also, at save points the transition between could be a lot faster.

Looking forward to seeing this develop as it is really interesting :)

That was really well done and a really nice size !

Fantastic :)

Ok, the head with the 010, I thought that was 0 / 0, like I had to collect something.

I would recommend that somewhere you prompt the player that keyboard input is required to solve some puzzles (like entering numbers). That was something I did not realize.

I'm playing through and have only had to glance at the walkthrough a few times. There are some great puzzles in here :)

Thanks so much for the response!

After Esc + R and reinstalling the game here is what I am encountering:

First room (where I can go out of bounds):

2nd Room (switch opens door) :

3rd Room (box shakes when you enter room but nothing else) :

4th Room (North East of Room 3) :

5th Room (South East of Room 3. Head has 0/0 something):

So I am unsure what I am missing :(

Great to hear! I found the end (for now) and had 84% completion. 7 artifacts and I think 1 out of the 3 hear pieces for 6th heart. Also made it into that "You should not be here room" :)
