That's because it's a demo, there is only Introduction and Chapter 1, only the full game will feature the full story.

There is a bigger update coming which will expand the two existing chapters and add some new mechanics to it, you will have additional level after the outskirts aswell. I'm currently working on that update and I hope to release it this month.

Hey there, just want to let you know that the update releases in the span of 2-3 days, it's finished now and currently under testing and final polishing 

Hello there! I think the new, 1.4 version will give you the best experience since it's a really large and significantly improved and expanded version, it contains a lot more story, better gameplay, visuals and level design than the current 1.3.2 version.

Try to imagine what you played in 2D but as a 3D shooter,  the update is only about 7 days away so it won't be long ;)

The new update takes place before the events of 2D game and it explains a lot of backstory, as you can see I also transferred it's artstyle to 3D, it also looks quite a lot better than the screenshots currently provided from 1.3.2 version (you can see old screenshots on main page) so the jump in quality between updates is pretty huge.

By the way the version of LS:Nightmares you are about to play (1.3.2) is a prequel to the story you saw in 2D, it is a bit outdated and it's missing a lot of things, but don't worry, I'm releasing a huge update this month and it will add a ton of new content. Anyways, I hope you will enjoy the current version and I will of course watch your gameplay video as soon as it releases.

Hey there, I will be working on improved spawn menu and command console for next udate, enabling the spawn menu in all levels by using command console cheat is something I would like to implement aswell.

Hello there, the one from video is the upcoming update for LS:Nightmares, it's been in development for few months now and it's a huge overhaul and improvement of the entire game, it's aimed to take LS:N closer to the original (2D Leaden Sky) and improve upon all the existing mechanics, the animations, gunplay, visuals, sounds etc. and the storytelling.
It's not out yet, but it will be either this month or next one, can't say for sure but I'm working hard on it.

If you bought LS:Nightmares you will be able to play it no problem once it's out.
