They are a new faction that will be appearing across the NOVAverse going forward!

Oh my goodness you just made my day with this post! Some very interesting connections and observations you've made there ;)

You're certainly on to something!

Hello!

1. Ah, dang it, the general tactics didn't make it into the PDF. I'll get them updated soon!

2. No dice rolls for Abilities, they just happen. But, you can spend any of your existing Fuel to amplify them. For example, Pyre's second ability is a guaranteed 1 Harm to an adjacent enemy. But you can roll Fuel dice, and any 4+ is a hit, adding +2 Harm per hit you rolled. Yes, 4+ is a hit and I realize that isn't clear!

3. No maximum

4. Once per turn.

5. 10x6

Thanks for pointing all those things out, I'll get to work updating the rulebook thanks to those questions!

The RUNE creator kit should work just fine for REAP when it comes to realms!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I hope you get a chance to try it out soon.

If you want to learn more about the Shards, I did a lore video on them!

I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it! Thank you for the kind words 😊

That's hard to answer without seeing them!

As a solo game, the concept of being overpowered is a difficult one. Some people might like that, and others don't. Plus, the power of items is very much dependent on the context (the realm you're in, you're other equipment, etc)

They are actually very different! While they might both be diceless, they have some really big deviations. The biggest difference is how combat works, with LOOT using tactical combat on the grid, and THORN focusing on creativity and problem solving.

Thank you so much for the kind words!

Anything you'd like to say goes here! If you have specific questions, check out the other stickied threads.

If you have any questions about the core rules of THORN, leave them here!

The players don't need to spend anything to use a weapon, it just deals Harm automatically.

If they want to do something very specific with the weapon, like hitting a bullseye target, they might need to spend an Approach.

The default is not spending anything.

Yep! The book comes with a link to claim the PDF and everything here on itch.

There is no BGG link for the game (as far as I know lol)

Glad you like it!

The character sheet has places for the consumables along the left side!

Thanks for pointing that out! I've just updated the Resource File to include the 6x6 grid.

Feel free to ignore it! I will be able to mark it complete later on.

Hi there! Right now the plan is to have the proposed changes be digital only. They may also be part of a separate file, as more of an "optional" rules update for those that are interested in it rather than overwriting the rules for everyone.

Thank you so much for the kind words and review, they really mean a lot to me!

I haven't heard of this problem before! Do you have a different device or browser to try?

I definitely plan on making more LOOT content in the future! More loot, factions, services, all that good stuff. I'd like to make some sort of creator kit to encourage folks to make their own stuff as well.

Got questions, drop them here and I'll do my best to answer them!

I'm so glad to hear you enjoy the game! Thank you for the kind words :)

There are lots of differences and similarities between the two! Setting is one, but combat is pretty different between the two. In LIGHT you have guns and roll a lot, in NOVA you have powers and mods and don't roll as much. That's just one of lots of differences between them.

Hey! While there is a lot of shared DNA, there aren't any plans to make the games compatible 1-1. The skill lists changing, and a few other changes make it difficult to port your classes from one to the other. It's just not a priority for Dragon Slayers.

This is so cool! Thank you for sharing!
