I love the art and the silly story :)

My favorite card is siphon !! I played this for like 20-30 minutes hahah

Love the aesthetics and the lore behind it hahaha! Good work! :)

Wow the metaphor for break the cycle... I see!!!!

This is sick!! I love the rhythm aspect it's very satisfying

Very cool and amazing scale for a jam game! However I did have trouble understanding the controls a little bit, but overall very impressive work

Such a funny game I like the mechanic of gaining weight affecting your gameplay and thus you have to decide how you would like to proceed LOL

Thank you so much for this sweet comment!! Really made my day :)) be sure to focus at school though! ;)

Yea it's just the "cookie" LOLLL!! Instead of a cookie he's more of a little fuzzy guy :) This is a very small project I made just for fun!

An incredibly well put together experience! I love the aesthetics, and it's horrifying. Thank you for your great work!

This was a great short experience! I love the aesthetics a lot -- everything is amazingly coherent and well done.

Really appreciate the support!! We've put up the newest build now :) click and hold to use your tools!

Thanks for the review! Really appreciate it :) a newer build will be up soon!

That is a known bug! Thank you so much for pointing it out :'D unfortunately I'm not sure if we'll have a patch for it anytime soon as this is a game jam game, but we have definitely taken note of that!

Notes

Movement:

  • the frog form is too fast, and the horizontal acceleration on it feels a little odd mid-air and on the ground

Frapple:

  • only allow it during the frog form
  • when frappling from standstill, there is a long pause before the frapple begins to retract, this doesn't feel good
  • frapple sometimes overcorrected and goes in the direction that the player doesn't intend it to (click to the right of froghyun but it shoots to the left)
  • frapple releasing feels unintuitive and slow (maybe release when movement keys are pressed)
  • occasionally the frapple shoots through the tiles (maybe due to Unity execution order?? fixed update, update vs. oncollision https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ExecutionOrder.html)

Dash:

  • can't dash from frapple that is attached to a wall (due to collision check after dash (stop dashing if colliding)); add a bool or timer?

Animation:

  • clean up sprite sheet for frog movement so that the jump doesn't have fragments of another frame :0

Bugs:

  • attack throws an error (unfinished)

I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH!! So so proud of you guys. <3

LOL thanks for the feedback!! We hope to balance the game more in possible future iterations :)

I really enjoy the concept!! However, the player movement was a little difficult and I think I would have enjoyed being able to aim with my mouse. Good work though!

Love the concept and the visuals! The gameplay was very enjoyable and both the art and the sound design were well-made and/or fitting. Using the earth die to start off with, it was a little difficult to tell that I was making progress, given that I was one-shotting the slimes LOL, so an enemy counter or some clearer visual may have been helpful. Amazing work! I enjoyed this game a lot :)

I really like the puzzle idea, the overall design, the environmental storytelling, the visuals, and the music in this game :) Very enjoyable! The puzzles themselves were a little difficult, but it is incredibly impressive that this was pulled off in such a short timeframe! I have yet to design puzzles myself, not to mention doing so within 48 hours O.O

Keep up the good work <3
