Nice Game! I did end up using the desktop version, as to your request, and I had a great time!

The art is very nice and the use of parallax makes it gorgeous! Great Job!

Really nice atmosphere from the game! Interesting take on the theme, and one of the best games I've played so far.

https://itch.io/jam/code-for-a-cause/rate/3369100 Would love it if you tried my game!

(you can press R to reset the level in the cloud levels lol)

Very nice game to play and the stabbing and running away was super engaging. (i love hit and run) in game ofc

Really beautiful game and very self-explanatory on its gameplay. Great Job!

This is a very creative take on the theme! But ctrl+w closes ur tab... But otherwise, really nice game!

Yeah lol - When i first came up with the idea I was in science 5th period and I got REALLLY BORED so I decided to sneak my phone out and check the theme - and then I drew out some prototyping. Thank god for my teacher being very very lazy and just having the period be study hall.

Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! There's so many ways to get stuck I just gave up and added the R reminder. For some reason the jump animation just wouldn't play when you pressed jump,  so I just ended up not worrying about that too much and mapping it to when you're not on the ground. Thanks for playing my game and glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah - In the cloud levels you can reset with R, but I should've made that more clear lol

Nice game! I liked how the bottomless pits were saved after you died so you didn't die to the same thing twice. The controls were a little difficult to pick up, but to address the difficulty: I personally think it's pretty fun.

This is one of the most gorgeous games I've seen so far. I really like that the loot tables change depending on the biome you're in, like when you're in the ocean place you can fish in actual fish.

Interesting take on the theme! I was very, very confused in the first level and then I realized you could jump through windows and land on text!!1!1!! That feeling of realization was really nice, it made the entire game feel just like you're exploring through some uncharted land or something. The gameplay was overall very nice, but it did get a little bit repetitive after the first 10 or so levels.

Kitty cat cat!!!!!!!!! Loved how you pulled off the cute yet kinda creepy feel to the game, it only takes a couple of minutes to understand the game, and it's really fun after that. But, the font was really difficult to read. I think the gameplay is very nice overall, with you just scavenging to find all the little kittens. It kinda reminds me of korok hunting in zelda BOTW and TOTK. Really nice game you pulled off here!

Liked the concept, the art was really nice. The game felt nice to play, and I don't think the lack of sound made it much much worse. The controls were ok, but I accidentally did ctrl+w which closes your tab so.... But other than that it's perfect! (I switched to using the space to jump lol). I would really enjoy more levels because the difficulty curve is steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Great Job!

To answer your questions: Yes the game is scary. Yes the game is fun. Loved the game! One thing was that I was just going all around the first room tryna find stuff and there was nothing there, so maybe some kind of arrow pointing you to the right direction of the first couple of corridors?

Woah man. Really love the concept of going through different lives and people just to make their surroundings filled with despair. I don't really know how to rate a visual novel, but this was a hell of a ride (literally)

Glad you liked (actually loved) it! When I started dev for the platformer levels I thought it was waaaaaaaay too simple, so I decided to add the cloud parts. Thank god I added the cloud parts because like 2/3 of the levels are clouds.

Thanks, glad you liked it! I originally thought my mechanic was gonna be one of the most common, but hey, wouldya look at that.

one mistake i have made during this game. not scaling the ui to screen. and then after i realized it was too late.

The screen inside itch io is fine, but theres a huge perimeter of just black when I load the game. Did you set it to manual resolution settings? You might wanna try the automatic html scaling, if you're already not using it.

LETS. GO. Comprehensive Guide:

First section: Slide just after the second pipe in the background and hold jump to skip the two jumps, and then hold jump again to skip another jump

Literally everything else: Spam slide and jump only when you have to and when you jump make sure to follow that up with a slide IMMEDIATELY.

All that should get you 15.66 if not better :D

Overall great game, spent way too much time trying to do this.

Really great gameplay, but I don't see how it fits the theme so (might just be me). Really nice art style and core mechanic and great level design that expands upon that mechanic.

Cool game! I got no idea how you pulled this off. Pretty good gameplay, but it got stale after a couple minutes (i mean what can you do with snake).

When I first looked at the game.. I said "Oh, Polymars?", and then got concerned when it didn't credit him and then I went to the itch page. Overall pretty good game, but I wish it had a bit more interesting gameplay, other than that great job!

Thanks for playing my game!

Thank you! This is one of my first times making a game so level-focused like this, so glad it turned out well!

Nice Game! I like how there's a story behind it, and the core mechanic is pretty fun too.

Really liked the game! Though, it was a little difficult to see the screen (might be on my end)

The artwork was very nice! Overall, the game feels pretty well polished and feels nice to play. It's one of those games that feels like you're sitting in an armchair next to a cozy fire.
