Thanks you! I really appreciate you letting me know. Even I have seen the videos before I am always curious to know where people are coming from and what they have made.

Hi there everyone!

I can see that I am receiving a lot of traffic from videos of Youtube, but not from which specifically. If you’ve arrived from one such video, I would love it if you would show them to me. 😊

Thank you for the compliment and thank you for using them. 😊

If I get a couple days off, I might look into it 😉

Your project is wonderful. I would however rethink the stepping sound as it is quite loud and annoying and very distracting as it shifts ear with each step.

You could call it DINO, but it is not a font, it is just some text I made. Glad you like it.

If you’ve bought this at some point and have feedback I would love to hear it!

I want to make sure that this is a product that fits into people work flows and as such it is important to me to understand how you implement it. 🧐

Additionally; Be it scathing critiques or compliments to the chef - Don’t be a afraid to leave a rating and a review. 😊

Nice work! I’ll give it a short look-see. 👍

Brilliant! I am looking to get further into Godot, so I may give your tutorial a try. 😄

No problem! My suggestion would actually make the hitbox and little shorter and slimmer. It would make the sprite fit perfectly against the wall. I suggest you use the background tiles to compare so you can make it fit as closely to the picture provided, but again it is completely up to you.

Good luck with future games!

Nicely made! I like it a lot! The fact that you made it in Scratch makes it easy for me to mess around with it too and make changes, and on that note I think I have found a solution for you as well.

I recommend you try to use the costume “run_3” or “jump” instead of the idle sprite. You could make a couple changes to it if necessary, but I think that would improve the visuals immediately.

Additionally; I think you should make the hitbox collider look like this [image] instead, as it get’s you closer to the walls when sliding down. I also made it a little shorter so you can fit in between your platforms, but that is all up to taste.

I had fun playing and wish it was a little longer, actually. 😁👌

Tell you what. If you give it a go first and show me what you’ve made, then I might give it a try too. 😁👌

A good question, but the answer is almost certainly no. You could think of this as a fantasy game, if the game in fact was released during the N64’s active period.

Going faster than fast since 2009

Yeah that was my attitude about 15 years ago as well haha

Please don’t spam Demching like this. You have been doing it for months and it is very uncalled for.

I think I used PaintDotNet initially. But I am pretty sure they’ve been through a bunch of other programs throughout its lifetime.

Hmm I am not sure how to answer you question. I am guessing it is because you are using a specific game engine, but I suggest you look up a tutorial about how to import textures into your engine of choice.

“What people usually do when make a jump animation is take one of the frames from the running animation. Particularly the one with the back leg is pointing downward and the front leg is pointing forward. If you freeze that frame until the peak of your jump and then switch to one of the next, you might get a pretty decent result.”

Like I mentioned on the previous post I won’t be adding an additional animations in the foreseeable future. However, if you go a little further down in the comments I have described a method you can use to get a decent jumping animation from the sprites available. 😊

Sadly I don’t have the time to work on the Sprite sheet, so this is a good opportunity to dip your toes into sprinting 😁

Sounds good! Did you make a game with it? I’d love to see it! 😊

I am glad you like them! Thanks a lot! It means a lot to me that I can be part of the start of your journey! 😄

A good question, but you’d have to experiment on your own, as I have no experience with the software.

Haha! Could be fun, but sadly I am way to busy for game jams. Good luck though!
