This is some good shit. Some people might say the hitboxes are a bit jank, but I say it’s a skill issue.

The Regan battle is rad! Not sure if the game has gotten harder over the revisions, or if I’m just rusty - but it was a fun challenge either way! It’s been great to see the reception this game has gotten.

This was a fun game! It controls well and it’s not really all that difficult. There’s a ton of room to build it out.

This is actually kind of hilarious. It’s twin-stick of you have no-sticks (KB/M), and single stick if you have twin sticks to work with. Hopefully the dev gets the twin stick controls going on controller setups.

I love how the reward for getting through your tasks is just a pile of even more tasks. No good deed goes unpunished, just like the real world. 10/10 simulation.

This game is pretty good. I still don’t fully get the “twin stick with only one stick” thing, but I’m clearly in the minority. It’s fun, but it misses out on a lot of satisfaction and strategy by not having aim and move set independently.

One of the hardest parts of the game was selecting a game play mode because the title track was such a banger I didn’t want to leave.

This game does a great job of capturing air hockey, though. The replays on all the goals (even the self-goals) is a fun feature.

This is great! I know you said it was just a tech demo, but I hope the final version isn’t much different. The concept of attacks that also provide various de-buffs to the enemy is a really cool concept. I was kinda bummed when the demo ended when it did - I wasn’t ready to put it down yet haha

No worries - I saw it that it was done in a pretty short time so I didn’t meant to come off as critiquing or anything. I think you nailed it with the hitbox issue I was encountering. As for the platforms, It was happening quite frequently with the small platforms that drop when you step on them. I didn’t do too much testing to try to figure out how/why it was happening but it was pretty frequent. Playing on an NTSC NES with an Everdrive N8 Pro (latest firmware) if that helps with anything.

This game is fun in concept, but I found the hitboxes were a bit weird sometimes - I’d hit an enemy but I’d take damage instead of them. There were also several times when platforms wouldn’t spawn and I’d be stuck dying to an impossible jump.

I’m one of the outliers who knows really nothing about Undertale and the like, so I dunno the references. This was still really fun to play through. I missed a bit in the starting world - when I realized the sword could cut through trees, I wanted to see how you handled if some idiot like myself cut border trees and went to the next screen, or how many screens I could go. I happened to find a chest that took me to the next part lol.

Whoa, a non-sokoban game made with Puzzlemaker! That’s a sweet flex.

What does CVBN stand for? Or is that supposed to be key config if you’re playing on emulator?

Picom-Shaders seems straightforward, you need to have Picom. The problem is that it runs in x11 and I’m in Wayland.

Hyprland Effects looks cool, but Hyprland is a pain to get going on my desktop. Setting up a multi-monitor config is unnecessarily tedious.

lmao, nope:https://chatgpt.com/s/t_6897d92eb18081919e4d01cf136d1f96

I was trying to find some fun gacha stuff that was free and just focused on ripping open packs of things and collecting them.

So anyway, I have like kinda dedicated way more time to your game than I expected… lol

I asked GPT for some free gacha games that focus on pack openings and it suggested this game but that it was “slightly NSfW” lmao. This game was the dopamine hit I needed, even if I’m not really into the furry thing.

Would be cool if the game had a way to open multiple packs at once… opening 100s of the same pack takes a while.

Biggest bummer about switching over to Linux is that this doesn’t work anymore lol. If anybody knows of a similar project for Linux, let me know - because ShaderGlass was awesome for retro gaming.

Game works perfectly in Linux, and is really charming. The music is so relaxing, too. Only minor issue I found is that after you unlock a new song, the Settings button becomes unresponsive for a little bit.

whaaaaat? This is the exact opposite of what I’ve always seen. I’d say 7z is the best way to go, but I’d take rar over zip any day.

I found it easiest to add one person at a time and give them the hat last - that way you just have to drop the stuff on the dude without the hat to make sure the right guy is getting the upgrades

Get some different flavored Tic Tacs

Get some sort of container to act as a blind bag for each pill type.

Use slips of paper for whatever status effect the pills have.

  1. Eat the tic tac
  2. Pull a piece of paper from the container for that type of “pill”

You could probably use dice to determine the effects for each pill each round, and how many death pills there will be.

You could probably use paper in a blind bag to pick the selection of items to choose from each round

Same thing happens with the fire - you don’t take damage when you walk over the “ghost” fires. Probably all fixed with the same code in the end, but since the fire is a different block type than the other “blocks” I thought I’d bring it up.

Uh sorry, found another one - this one’s kinda minor though.

  1. Blow up blocks
  2. Interact with corpse
  3. Blocks that get covered by the text box re-appear, but they’re non-blocking and indestructible.

This is a super fun demo, but it really needs an option to put it in full-screen. Got the full version on my wishlist!

No prob, it seems to be re-creatable on every body I’ve found so far. Playing on original hardware on an Everdrive N8 Pro cart

Found a bug in the latest full version (might be in the demo too?)

If you stand over a body and hit [A] for text, then pause right after clearing the text, the enemies still load in a and will damage you.

[EDIT] Fixed with update released 2025-06-22 :D

You should add the “NES ROM” tag to this game so it’s easier to find by people crawling that tag for new stuff to check out on the NES :)

I can definitely try to branch it out. What sections would help you most? I’ll try to start there.

Dang - look at all those entries! GG to Anthony for the win, but GG to you for that amount of hype!

This game looks and sounds interesting, but the controls and attack mechanics make it so much more difficult than I think it’s meant to be…

I don’t get it… I actually got all three correct one round, but it still says I lose? lol

Any plans on a physical release? This would be an amazing one to have CiB.

That’s cool, I mean it worked great on original hardware so you’ve got that going haha. I’ll make sure to check out the final game when it’s out!
