Everything seems fine at first, but when I try to check out the examples, the app starts lagging, every action I take happens with a 5 sec delay. How can I go about fixing this? I believe my pc is not the problem since it is a new(6 months old) gaming laptop with pretty good specs.

This sounds to me that the problem is that you are running the app with your integrated graphics card instead of the dedicated one. Try right clicking the .exe file and check if it lets you choose the gpu to be used.
