Story wise yes its a must have, but revisiting cleared areas solo (even at level cap) might be interesting (I'm not hating on the characters too just fyi), and whenever you need em in order to progress the story or whenever you feel like running places and defeating enemies together you could always rendezvou back at the mercenary camp, just a thought
The fae prince is a completely waste of time for those wishing to continue this game. Despite proper strategy and planning, unless you wish to devote worthless hours to grinding - it isn't worth it. The fae prince will just spam cyclone and summon bramble, he will attack multiple times in a row and even with Regen on everyone, it;s useless. Ash trying to reduce his MP is also a waste of time as it's MP pool is insanely high.
If you want a challenge, go forward with this game and keep trying. Otherwise, you'll just be pulling at your own hair in frustration by the hours wasted on grinding levels to just beat a fairy prince.
Hi I was just curious there's mention of an item called jerky and well I'd like a little hint as to where to start looking as if I haden't read the comments I'd not know it was even an item I could get. I beat the slime king but once I got to the Alpha wolf he killed me very quickly but no scene of him mating the MC played so what am I missing then? And could I get an idea what the max level is? I only ask as I've seen comments saying the fairy prince is rather hard. Thanks to any help I get and the game is rather interesting so far even if short.
Something that causes me endless frustration in games is when high health enemies have absolutely no indication of how close they are to defeat. I don't want to waste my time throwing myself at an enemy that i have no chance of beating, but i also don't want to waste my time doing a bunch of grinding only to come back and find the enemy a complete pushover
Even in games without visible health bars, there's often something to grasp on to, like how monsters start to limp in monster hunter, or even just a boss going into phase 2 halfway though the fight. Without something like that the fight lacks both gameplay intent and a narrative intensity curve, and instead you just kinda hit it until "whoops surprise it's dead!" out of nowhere
Anyway, my point is that the game looks very nice, and i'm sure you put a lot of effort into it, but i simply haven't the patience to get past the first boss.
Also it took me embarrassingly long to realize the combat was supposed to be turn based >_<' I was swinging my sword all over those slimes and nothing was happening so i was like "Huh, i guess they're immune to sword attacks?" and just jumped past them. Maybe should have read the game description a little closer lol
If memory serves, take the bridge bellow the one that leads to the fairy Prince battle toward the left. use the wolf form sniff ability to help if you can't find it, it should be slightly visible at the edge of the platform.
It also could be right of the fairy prince bridge. I don't quite remember just that it was a platform edge in that area.
so played the demo, 0.2.8, a few bugs with saving otherwise a neat dungeon platformer, a little grindy but otherwise a decent game. also buggy when you nominate different width screens.... speech bubbles get redacted cut and combat squished as if the animations and text dont scale with the field of view/screen dimension settings in the .exe launcher. but that asside the game looks very polished if lacking in story detail. though the story unfoling is kinda cool... hope you finish this as its looking like a decent job.
Are you talking about the Faerie Prince in the goblin camp? I ended up being Level 17 (wolf form) after the fight. Remember to feed the slime in your room, if it becomes level 4 you can summon in battle.
Dispel buffs and regen on the prince when he casts them, and use your skills. They deal a lot of damage
Love this game so much!
I noted a weird bit of dialogue when I turned in the quest to the Master after the aquaducts. It mentions that the PC turned into a slime but they didn't until that scene? Not sure if it is old text.
I know the slimes grappled him but I was able to escape and kill them. Did I miss a scene? I admit that I tend to grind so I was level 6ish around that encounter....Was I supposed to lose that one?
Anyway, great stuff! I am excited to see where this goes!
I've always loved games with graphics like this in my childhood and now I can enjoy it as an adult even. :D I really like it and it has a huge potential, though I have some problems. There should be an option that leads me back to the main menu to reload other loads and such problems like when I start the game, if I point the cursor to the character, a little window pops up and sometimes it's bugging in the early phase and in the late phase it's completely disappears. When I shop it would be cool to see how many potions do I have when I want to buy some. The running animation is kinda weird and the jump is like flying. Still, this is my favorite itch.io game right now and you made a really great job! I can't wait to play it again!
Oh, and another problem, when I "die" I mean getting F-ed, I lose my potions during the previous fight if I use and like in the goblin encampment I couldn't go back to buy some. It would be cool after a losing fight to keep my potions.
Hey there! I just wanted to share how much I'm loving the game right now. Seriously, if you keep going in this direction, it's gonna be awesome! The style, the little hidden things (they're still surprising me!), the dialogues, and the overall atmosphere are just top-notch.
But hey, when it comes to gameplay, I've got a small suggestion. It would be great to have a bit more guidance, you know what I mean? I mean, here I am, after finishing the game and trying to write a comment, only to find out there are shortcuts I never knew existed. I stumbled upon a lot of cool stuff on my own during gameplay, and that's cool and all, but sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming and leave me feeling a bit lost.
Oh, and can I make a humble request? Pretty please, can we have an "Are you sure?" dialogue after hitting the surrender button in combat? You won't believe how many times I accidentally surrendered, when I i thought I was playing as someone else entirely. It's a bit embarrassing, to be honest. Having that extra step would save us from those random moments of surrender, haha!
Alright, enough with the suggestions. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for this amazing game so far. I'm super stoked for the upcoming updates! Seriously, I can't wait to see what's in store. With the awesome elements already in place, and maybe a little more guidance and that "Are you sure?" dialogue, this game is gonna be really fantastic.
Thanks again, and keep up the fantastic work!
Great game but the goddamn fairy prince is wayy to op. You could lower his health to 1500 or nerf the cyclone ability (which he basically spams every other turn), and the fact that he can get an extra turn the second one of your allies goes down means he WILL down another the next turn.
Edit: i read lower that even in max level, he will still be a bit challenging. Thats probably another sign to nerf him.
Actually every single JRPG is about to grind levels. JRPG games are tend to be mathematically correct at some points, given a little rng into the system. If you want to beat them, then go and level up your characters, this is always the key in every single jrpg game. The difficulty is just right. What the point of playing a game if you are always winning.
Solid game so far!
Only concerns I have at this moment is that when fast traveling or during cutscenes it seems you revert to human form, at least with cutscenes it should go back to beastform after its done? I obtained both soul gems without getting locked into the respective beastform, so my leveling of the forms was behind the curve. I like doggies! Slime pet doesn't seem to do anything, but I figure that is in progress. Some events/cutscenes may be fun to have slight variations based on form. The double monument area, aside from the credits, seems like it could be a mid/late/end game boss fight spot, maybe even for an upgraded version of the two respective forms? The chest in the area outside the Fae shrine is impossible to get, even when I do it right to jump off the edge and then air dash I can never end up being high enough to land on the platform. While I agree with others that the fight against the Fae Prince is hard, all it took was some grinding to max level and proper equips from Goblin Store and chests in the forest, so I feel like you may need to give a hint or two to players. It would be nice for each form to have a passive non combat ability, I know the slime one seems to be able to use grates, wolf form perhaps for climbing or slight movement speed increase? In the end I don't know what you have already planned, but I think it would fun to play again, if changes to game require/force restarting, I did make a few mistakes that caused me to have to grind more.
Sounds good! I think I only managed to avoid the situations where the initial transformation would take place. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but makes it a bit of a bummer to have lost out on utilizing it sooner. One idea would be to work so that it happens regardless of win or lose, but the scene varies. Such as the alpha wolf for example, you have to fight him no matter what, but the food still stops him from waking the camp, "I can't entirely ignore my job / I must test you" sort of deal? I don't really know, but still feels like they may need to trigger transformation regardless? As it also stands to have story purposes!
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do when the gates are locked and my hands are too slimy to pull the lever? I can't exactly un-slime my hands.
EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. Thought if I *had* a special ability I would be notified, but I guess I'm just supposed to try it.
EDIT 2: Ok, apparently progressing past the Slime King requires me to actuallybeat him -- no surrender option, just a game over -- which is not really the type of content I'm looking for... so I guess this game isn't for me.
Hi ! I just finish the demo and I loved it ! It was really fun to play. I like that every enemies can have sex scenes (even pixies, I wasn't expecting that xD) and that there are cool "secret" events like in the dark street, I find it purely by chance. I hope I didn't miss any events. The only complaint I can make is that the second boss is maybe too difficult for a second boss. And that I wish we can know the enemy health bar. (Also is there a sex scene with Colton (the buddy that is in the tavern) ? Because I maybe miss this one.)
Nope, I'm just here often. I don't know how to pin comments either unfortunately. I can only recommend asking another dev that has a pinned forum *shrugs*. Sorry I can't be of more help on the matter. Also might I suggest if the player becomes slutty enough being able to wake up others with blowjobs? Mild extended variant for Lukka being present. Plays out something like blow Lukka while stroking both Lyric and Ash.
