A fun defense against a life hack is just by stepping to the left. But there are so many shortcuts in this game. But to be honest, I barely passed 3 levels, let alone 5
Great animations and the jump mechanic felt really well polished. The falling was a bit unforgiving though. Overall good job!
Very fun, the movement and jumping mechanics felt really polished. It is pretty difficult though, I wasn't able to get past Level 2 after a few playthroughs. Also unfortunate the scoreboard didn't end up working, I would have liked to see how I stacked up against everyone. Overall you guys did a great job and this game has serious potential!!
Thank you for playing! Idon't think the movement was great, this was only mysecond game in Unity and it will take some time to learn so many things, but I gave it my all. We know that the game isvery hard maybe we didn't find it because we were jumping this game nonstop :D ..Scoreboard doesn't work unfortunately, I used dreamlo and didn't notice the small text that I need SSL on Web build so it's broken.
Thank you for your comment and rating!
The music was great, platforming felt very nice, good animations, great pixel art, and everything fit under a cohesive art style. However, the game was very difficult and unforgiving, or maybe I'm just really bad, but having to play the same exact level over and over was really frustrating. Besides that, though, this is probably one of the best entries I've played so far.
Thank you for you kind comment, we actually thought long about the difficullity of the game. but in the end, it is actually no that long, so we decided not to include checkpoints. We wanted to reminiscent old platformers, that were unforgiving, hard and beating them gave you satisfaction. I am very glad that you liked the rest :)
While not being very fond of "normal" platformers, I really enjoyed that fact that the level could be mastered with time and the overall looks of the game. Some of the background elements were a bit too much stylistically different or out of context to blend in well, but the aestethic is surely very refined (I love the way this guy jumps)
Yeah, thank you! Exactly the first thing Deiw said when he saw the jumping animation was laugh and don't shoot ,don't shoot! :D... If you mean the bigger pixel art stuff in the background, I did that just a few hours before the end of Jam and had to rush so I didn't give it much time, but thanks for playing our game anyway! :)
i absolutely LOVE the art and music in this game, great job! the main issue for me is its length, which is exacerbated by the jump sometimes feeling unresponsive. would be really neat if there were checkpoints at each level, the game would feel alot more completable. Regardless of the difficulty, I do love the concept of having a platformer speedrun for the high score, and again, the aesthetics are beautiful. Good job!
I don't know what time signature or key the gameplay theme is and that's sick. Some experimental jazz vibes here. As a musician I'm barking like a dog
