Take the CW as you will. Personally, I'd highly recommend reading it because of the characters, atmosphere and horror.

If you are a psychological horrors fans then go for it!

I've seen my fair share of "dark, heavy themes" butthis game does not hold back the punches. Remember to take a break if it gets too much for you (Mild spoilers: Especially in TJ's/Flynn's route).
