How does you game fit the theme?
It's a story about how a little girl is protected from her fears by her pets. However she thinks otherwise - she is never alone.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, we did everything from scratch except from music. We downloaded it from the OpenGameArt. Special thanks to HorrorPen, pauliuw, Alexandr Zhelanov Yubatake and ViRiX
ATTENTION GAMEPLAY TIPS&TRICKS
Since so many players have problem with beating 2nd level (which is on us of course for making it to hard if you don't the patterns we know) we decided to share some cheating knowledge about how to outplay this level.
1) Cats are fast! You gotta spam attack button.
2) What's more you gotta spam it both sides. You can change sides midair and attack some brussels that got past you. Some of them may die from hit even when you would think it won't. Try to figure out the real hitbox as it's a bit bigger than it seems to be unfortunately.
3) It's best to position the cat somewhere in the middle of the room and on the counter, since you fall faster than you jump.
And I guess that's all. You just have to slice these brussels changning direction cat aim almost everytime when something happens. But cats are great at acrobatics, aren't they? I hope it will help some of you to beat it. We put our hearts into some more content you can't even see because of this balance mistake.

Amazing work you guys did here with the art style. The bird in the first level felt a bit too "slow" in a way once you reach the 3rd difficulty but otherwise it was a nice lil game. Good job!
really like this game, its unforgiving but still very fun, great job on the visuals too, they are beautiful! i just feel as if having a slight speed boost to the player would make it a bit more balanced!
Beautiful art, and I love how it fits with the theme. This is such a great idea to use this type of children fantasy.

The game is really nice but for me is really difficult 😂
at first, I thought it was just the bird thing so after losing a bunch of times I quit then I saw in the comments that there are other levels so I managed to go back and get to the cat level but it's just intense😂
Maybe some minor difficulty balance or at least if I die at stage 2 let me repeat stage 2, not 1 😂😂
other than that it's a really good aesthetics if the game had an end it's really a shame I couldn't get to it

Arts, animations and music are wonderful and match the vibe of the game perfectly. The idea is also great. The cat level was quite hard, but I've beaten it and stuck on the boss level xD
Ok, I finished the boss level! The game is really adorable and I really love the cat sprite and animations :3
The bird level is too easy and you can just stand in front of the house without any movement. I guess enemies should go not only to the centre of the house, but to the other direction too. Also checkpoints for every stage would be great too.
Boss level is a bit hard. In my opinion boss attacks should be a little bit slower.

Wow! Very unique idea! And the art is just beautiful! I like that tutorial is in the gameplay, not just a text before. This is definitely one of the best games I've seen on this jam. More people should play this game! But I the end of the brussels level was too hard for me. Audio perfectly matches style of the game. I had fun playing this, even when I was loosing! You should be proud of yourself what you accomplished.

Yes, that's a big shame people can't get past cat level, because we spiced things up with the boss fight at the end of the game and it brings a bit different mechanics. :/ We tested it and it seemed hard but playable, but it surely makes a difference when you know how to position and how to attack to outplay the code! :D We failed on balance for sure. Next time we will let more people test it before we upload it.
I truly want to attain the good end, but I stuck at the final stage of the cat challenge...I asked my partner to try and he also stuck at the same stage. We were expecting 3 waves of enemies, but finally failed in the 4th wave. Missing one ball leads to game end...I hope the cat can move faster or allowing 1 to 3 misses, something like a shield protecting the door and the shield will be destroyed when the cat missed a number of balls. Or like others said, a checkpoint between waves. Other than the game difficulties, everything is nice and polished, graphics are very presentable and the music suits the theme. Great job!
The art is amazing! I just want to say though that it wasnt that fun to play, but everything else was on point!
The art is just amazing, the background music fits perfectly, the theme is on point. I think one of the reason why this is so underrated is because of the gameplay being too long. (which is fine for a normal game, but not for jam) people want to go through it see all the unique mechanics and playing a same level (if you fail) that gets longer everytime with no checkpoint might be a turn off for a lot of people imo

I think look at the art and animations also with the spooky while relaxing music is already fun enough for a game so the difficulty could be lower like, lower the monster's speed
Other than the art the music is also cool do you mind credit them too xD
