how the hell they can program they can even program the movement of this game what did they use javascript, python3, css, c++, like what did they use to make this game?
THIS IS THE WORST GAME I WOULD DIE IN A FIRE THAN PLAY THIS CRAP MINECRAFT AND ROBLOX IS BETTER THIS MAKES PEPPA PIG LOOK GOOD WHEN THERES LAZY FRICKIN ANIMATION GOD I WISH I NEVER CELEBRATED THIS HORRIBLE LAZY GARBAGE CRAPS BIRTHDAY UGH SCREW YOU INNERSLOTH YOU MADE ME PAY AND WASTE 5$ UGH I WISH AMONG US WAS DEAD ON ITS BIRTHDAY!!!
The "platform unsupported" message is because the itch.io version of the game doesn't have proper support. The devs have said, without promising a timeframe, that they'll be working on this, but then released a roadmap with no mention of it and it's been more than 3 months without any further word.
You should, on the download page for the game, have a Steam key. Obviously there's good reasons for some of us to avoid Steam (like the fact that it's been known to be causing harm to customers since 2019) but if you can use that, it's an option. Otherwise get a refund and repurchase the game through Epic.
The itch.io version is an "unsupported platform" and you can't create or use an account here. That locks out a lot of game content (including the ability to use a name of your own choice, and free chat) so functionally you only get the Steam version.
Thanks to Valve turning the Steam client into a health hazard almost 2 years ago (and blocking access to any safe workarounds since), I was forced to refund the game on itch.io because I don't have the full game here. I was able to get the game on Epic (as bad as they are, still better than Valve at this point) so I can still play.
it's because of at least half a dozen different problems, all of which showed up in the "new library" update in 2019, and most of which are long-standing known problems for numerous medical conditions which everyone (except apparently some idiot at Valve) knows better than to include in a game launcher app.
they never see our messages, which is why they don't see my reasons on how to fix the game, but they never will see them
anyways heres a rant because there aren't enough of these here:
-quick chat is weird because i think anybody with an account can still say stuff they want to (hence not protecting kids anyways)
-the anti-cheat thing is broken
-they keep updating the graphics and stuff, but not the game mechanics
-in quick chat, you can't talk about somebody by their colour (one time I got voted out because of this)
-it's just kinda bad in general
what's good is that games like Disc Us are very similar, but they still have differences that make them special, and can bring the same happiness Among Us gave us
Yes, I bought it, hence asking about how to get the update. 🙂
The problem is I originallybought it through Innersloth directly, so no auto update option. When the previous update came out, Innersloth directed me here, to itch.io, where I got the new files, but basically had to reinstall the entire game.
Turned out to be the same this time.
Is there any way to auto update from itch.io?
On itch.io you can use the launcher to auto-update, or you can manually re-download the game when an update goes live. Installing to the same location will give a prompt, and if you just hit "yes to all" to overwrite the existing files, you'll get the new version of the game without much trouble. But the launcher is easier.
